Purchased for the drive unit and end switch
Purchased to replace the old worn out drive unit that was hanging up and not shutting off the heating zone. Probably already saved me the cost of the wasted oil that was being thrown away as the zone stayed open and kept turning the furnace on for no reason

Ordered this valve after my first floor zone valve actuator stopped working. Only use the actuator and saved the valve body.

Solid replacement
Needed to replace a few zone valves on our radiant heat system and these were a direct replacement. System is back to new.

OEM Part
This product was purchased as a replacement part for the exact same zone valve that is on my gas boiler/hydronic heating system. The mechanicals on the origenal part failed after 12 years and I pruchased the whole valve to remove the electric/mechanical portion and replace it on the existing sweated on valve. Installation was relatively easy after paying attention to the wiring hook-ups (copy existing hook-ups) and position of pivot mechanism of valve connection to motor body. It appears that some slight differences have occurred in the manufacturing of this product in the intervening years but if it lasts another 12 years, I'll be satisfied. I wish that I could have pruchased the electric/mechanical portion only (as opposed to assembled to the sweat on valve itself) but removal was a snap. I would have given it 5 stars if I didn't have to buy the whole assembled valve to get the electric/mechanical control.

Maybe all you need is the valve
Amazon sends things out faster than I can get a plumber. If this is for a repair consider just getting the replacement valve that always sticks -- no soldering required.
