Convectair Apero 120v 1250w Electric Heater

I didn't read the discription thoroughly enough when I bought it. I thought it would have a blower due to the name of the product. It doesn't. It's radiant heat, only good for a small space.

I stayed with a friend in Paris once who had this brand of heater so I knew what to expect. The thermostat is accurate and easy to set. Heat radiates from this quickly and flows out into the room rather than staying near the heat source. It's almost as if it had a small fan but it does not. The heater is perfectly quiet. There is no clicking sound when it turns on and off to maintain the temperature. The lamp to show it is on is a soft light to the rear of the top of the unit by the thermostat and on/off switch. It does not light up the wall or the room to show it is on which I prefer.Installation was a snap. It does not come with its own screws to mount it. This is fine as I could select the screws that worked best in the wall I was using. The mounting bracket is its own template for the screws. It took me about 5 minutes to install.The only issue I have is with the delivery. There is a ding in the frame smack in the middle of the top of the unit. It is in a place that will be difficult to try to realign so I have just left it. I'm sure this is a one-off situation but as it arrived just as the weather was turning cold here, I did not bother to contact the company for a replacement. I won't take off a star for this as it has no bearing on the quality of the heater.The heat generated by this heater fills the bedroom quickly. It has kept a relatively uninsulated bedroom from dipping into the 40s at night as it has done in the past. It keeps the room at a comfortable 65 degrees where I have it set for sleeping. My electric bill has gone up from using this but nowhere as high as it went last year when I used a free-standing heater for just a couple of nights.Do make sure the size of the heater is correct for the size of your room. My bedroom is about 20x20 and this is a perfect fit.

This unit worked great for 3 months. Then it stopped working altogether. Too bad I really liked it.

I work from home, in a room above the garage and there is no heat. In the past I've been using an oil radiator type heater which was 900/1500 watts. I was always annoyed that it had to sit in the middle of the room and that it was heavy to move around. This Convectair Apero is wonderful!! I love the slim(ish) design and how clean it looks. I love how it is out of my way and on the wall. I purchased the kind that you can plug in because I didn't want to involve an electrician. The unit arrived quickly (thank you Amazon) and I installed it on the wall easily.... The only downfall is that it didn't come with mounting screws. My package arrived and it was partially open, thankfully the unit wasn't damaged, but if there were screws they must have fallen out during transit. Luckily I had some screws of my own and had my new heater set up in no time. It's been about 48 hours since I plugged it in and it has given me continuous comfort..... I also like that there is an ability to "set the thermostat" - my old heater was only on/off. The "thermostat" is a numbering system so it's not like you can set it to 72 degrees, but you just set it to a number - similar to how you set the number on your fridge/freezer for how cold you would like it to be.…. Overall I would recommend this product.

This heater keeps turning itself off and we have to reset it often. We bought it in October 2018 and by February it started doing this. I let the company know and they did replace this heater. The new heater heated really well, however the thermostat didn't work and it was 80 degrees in the room. Convectair is refusing to replace it because the heater is said to be too small for the room. Needless to say, we are very disappointed with their customer service and we will certainly not buy any more of their heaters.

First off, GP Conservation has STELLAR customer service!!! I would definitely puchase from this seller again. They were very prompt, polite and professional when responding to my inquiries. They made it very easy to return a defective product and sent me a replacement right away. I really can't think of how GP Conservation could improve their service.As for the Convectair Heater, my electrician recommended one for a space in our home that finished but unheated. We were so happy with the first one, that we purchased another. Pros: warm and even heat, very economical, silent, quick and simple install.Cons: The second unit was damaged in shipping, so had to get it replaced and the replacement unit simply wouldn't turn on. Followed troubleshooting guide, then called Convectair. No luck, so had to send that unit back as well. (Again, GP Conservation was great about this.) I really think I just had bad luck, as we haven't had any trouble with the heaters since.Third heater is working as expected.

We bought this for the living room, a smaller for the bathroom. Both were installed by our electrician. Both electrical outlets are new and functional. I m very disappointed to learn the nearest repair option is in Bellevue Washington, many hours drive from here. Fairly frustrated about this, it is only the second time I have wished I had not bought online.

I bought the 1500 unit. It worked twice and now the light on the dial comes on but the heat does not come on at all no matter how high the setting. In my opinion, this is an expensive unreliable unit. Save your money and buy a different brand.
