Summer Escapes Polygroup SFX1500 Filtration Pump with Vacuum Adapter for Above Ground Pools

Very happy with this pump.While I was upset that our existing pump crapped out after about 3 years, this unit is an exact fit replacement, and ADDS a timer feature on the power cord to allow the pump to run a maximum of 10 hours per day.The installations was very simple (again, it is a straight-up replacement, as far as exterior components).I don't what the GPM was on the old model, but this thing really sucks (and I mean that in the best way...)I highly recommend, just be sure that THIS model is the one that fits your pool (it is for pools with the ROUND skimmer hole.)

Exactly what I needed. Drained the pool down 4" then swapped out the entire filter assembly. Only took 6 minutes for the swap. Bottom ring already tightened. A bit pricey but worth the ease of swap-out. Works great. Lots of spare parts left.....

The pump was extremely easy to install (5 minutes). It has good water flow and is quiet.. The vendor dropped the ball big time. I paid $22.50 for expedited shipping (2 days), it got here five days later. I must admit after the deadline for delivery had passed I contacted the vendor and they promptly refunded the shipping charge. I would have given the product 5 stars but when I plugged in the power cord I noticed it had a 1-10 hour adjustable timer. After 10 hours you have to manually reset it. The next day I cut the old GCFI reset plug off my old pump, cut the new one (with the timer) off and wire nutted the old one to the new cord and taped it well. It's under cover so I will not have any issues. Problem solved. There was another pump kit listed on Amazon for like $40 less but when I read the specs I saw it had a timer so unwittingly I bought this one as it didn't mention a timer. Save your money and buy the other one.

I use this for my pool. This really kepts pool clean.

Have had 2 pumps this summer. Both broke within 2 weeks of receiving them. The problem seems to be in the timer. It collects moisture. Being a pool pump I would certianly think it should be able to stand the humidity and rain in a Florida summer. I'm awaiting a 3rd to be delivered. Hopefully the 3rs time is a charm!
