Take Them Beyond Amar Chitra KathaThe book is excellent. Someone who has attended The University of Chicago is bound to write well. This is a good introduction if children have crossed the stage of reading graphic books like Amar Chitra Katha.Of all things, the illustrations are wonderful, too. See the pictures.

Loved the book - Arshia Sattars retelling of the epic is simple, but has a gripping narrative and pace, peppered with some stunning illustrations by Sonali Zohra. Children cannot have a better handy book as an introduction into this great epic.

A very well written book with intriguing illustrations! I like the fact that the author uses rich and intricate language, as opposed to overly-simplified sentences often encounter in other books for children. Further, the narrative refrains from passing judgements on the characters or drawing moral conclusions on behalf of the reader, allowing the audience the freedom of interpretation. A rare India book that encourages the love for reading and free thinking. I loved reading this book with my 7-year-old daughter.

My eight year old enjoyed reading it. The illustrations are good, if very westernized.

I love this book the language is so simple my daughter is 8 years old she can read n understand n she can tell the ramayan like this all the parts are their love the product

This was the first introduction of Ramayana for my kids and they loved this book. Interesting art and simple language of the book makes it a must buy for young ones.
