Good Lightweight Machine
Considering the price of vacuum cleaners these days, paying less than £200 for a branded, new vacuum is fairly impressive. I am a big fan of this particular vacuum cleaner. It works fantastically and is super lightweight, meaning it's really easy to carry around and push about - especially with stairs, heavy vacuum cleaners can be a bit of a pain. The cordless feature is even more convenient and makes maneuvering around the house even easier. For my circumstances, this is a fantastic bit of kit that really does the job. Now, here are some things that others looking to purchase may need to consider:1) I am using this vacuum cleaner in a household of 2 adults - we don't make a great deal of mess and so I only vacuum the house once a week max. I might not recommend this vacuum cleaner for a larger household, especially with younger kids who might make a lot of mess. The cylinder isn't especially big, and so would likely fill up a lot quicker and perhaps too quickly to be worth it.2) My house has low pile carpet, which means that the vacuum cleaner doesn't need a great deal of suction in order to get any dirt out of it. I have a rug which is a lot thicker and I attempted to use the vacuum cleaner on that and it just didn't work. You couldn't move the vacuum at all, and it didn't clean anything. So if your house does have a high pile carpet, this probably isn't the vacuum cleaner for you.3) As I mentioned above, the cleaner is only really used for a couple of hours a week maximum. The auto cut-out to stop overheating does happen every half an hour or so, but after leaving it a couple of minutes it's fine again. I can imagine for a more thorough clean, this can be very frustrating and so this is a point to consider. The average run time of 45 mins works great for me, but might not be so great for other families.4) This is a cordless vacuum, and so does need charging. This is perfect for me; I live in a rented accommodation, and so I am not able to alter the property. This means that I cannot add more plug sockets in more convenient locations, or drill holes into the wall to fit a charging station. The vacuum cleaner means that I don't have to worry about these problems. I just need to have a single socket available to charge the vacuum and then I'm good to go. So this is a point to consider if you are in a similar situation as me.For now, this vacuum cleaner is working great and functions as advertised. I would definitely recommend it.

nice little run-around
not as powerful as my old corded (Dyson) but bought to do the daily jobs round the house. Lighter and more versatile due to the compact body size, and just powerful enough to do the carpets (perfectly capable on hard floors). Main brush attachment works well, charges quickly enough and plenty of battery to do the house before needing another charge. If you're after a daily run-around then look no further.

Brilliant.
This is my 2nd Vax cordless, the previous Vax blade lasted 4 yrs. The suction on this one is so much better, I live in a small bungalow and this does the whole place with plenty of battery life to spare. I empty it and give the filter a light brush every time its used. Slightly heavier than the previous model but meets all requirements.

Excellent value for money and less than half of a dyson, Excellent suction.
Superb vacuum cleaner, slightly bit heavier than the dyson V11 we bought a few months ago.Plus side, when you empt the dirt collection box, you have 2 filters which easy to get to and easy to clean and after a few times just wash them through and dry them and hey presto you are off again. Price wise it is about half to a 3rd of the price of a dyson - excellent. Will keep informed of the article

Not as good as I thought! Now edited review and downgraded to 1 star. Further review!
Good vacuum. I ordered spare filters so change them often. It is well worth the money and cleans well. Well had this for a short while now and have to downgrade to 3 stars because it finds it difficult to pick up anything other than dust and hairs from the cat and dog. I accidently tipped over a bowl of cat biscuits and it just spread them about. Cheers. Now had it for a while and down it goes to 2 stars. The reason being that it will pick up hairs and fine dust (virtually weightless) but anything heavier seems such a chore for it. Accidentally spilled a handful of cat litter (clean) on the floor and after using the vax over it loads of times had to resort to dustpan and brush. Still good for cat and dog hairs. Looks like back to being tethered to the cable vac! This is an addition to my original review.........what a load of rubbish. This vacuum cleaner is far from a vacuum cleaner. It deposits some of the stuff you have just been over back on the floor after switching it off. What a lot of money for a machine that other than being good to pick up pet hair does little else. Fed up with stuff being fired back at my feet because it does not have enough strength to get some of the bits up to the collection area. Looking at the reviews I realise that I am not by myself in thinking it seems to be a waste of good money. Had a cheaper Vax for a number of years so thought this would be as good a buy, but in my opinion I was wrong. Looking for another make now and I bet it won't cost as much.Additional review for replacement item. I just wonder why it has two speeds. The lower speed is rubbish and the higher one not much better. This is a guarantee replacement. Should have just called it a day and bought a real vacuum. On the strength of the items I have had,. it should be called NO-VAX. It certainly does not do what it is supposed to do. Will change to a S.... one.

Could do better.
It's not as powerful as a corded vacuum and we didn't expect it to be but it works fine and is very handy and versatile. 2 things let it down. Having to plug in the power connector on something used daily is not realy satisfactory and I know it will fail in time. It is common for the rotating brush on cleaners to be easily removable to clean off thread and hair. The brush on this model is fixed and cleaning the brush is more difficult than it should be. It wasn't cheap and I would expect better from Vax.
