Good beginner rocket
Great beginner’s rocket. Building was not easy for 9year old so I had to help, but prepping for launch and launch itself was a breeze.

Successful at Cub Scout Launch
We just finished a Cub Scout rocket event using these rockets for about half of the scouts, and another model for the rest. The silver and blue color makes it a bit difficult to track as others have said, but the bright orange streamer is easy to spot as long as it deploys. We instructed the scouts to only use two pieces of wadding so that the streamer ejects easily. We launched 15 of these, twice per scout for a total of 30 launches, and had no trouble recovering the rockets. They flew high and straight with 1/2 A motors. Assembly was easy. None of the scouts had difficulty putting them together.

dont buy rockets from amazon
dont buy rockets from amazon, they ship them in a envelope and the drivers crush them. this is the second gnome they sent me that the body tube came crushed in because of the bag being folded. I understand it's a small product but these are cardboard and need to be shipped in a box. Other than that it's a nice easy to build mini rocket that will take you about 20 mins to build, its cheap enough so you can let your kids launch it and not worry if they cant find it but since it's chrome with a bright orange streamer on a mini sized engine they should be able to recover it

Aiming High !!!
This rocket flew straight and true and landed within 100' of the launch site. My grandson and I were thrilled with it and expect to launch amain and again!

Not so bad as the previous review
This rocket is silver and blue, very easy to lose in the blue and white sky. I did launch mine twice. It goes very quickly, because it is a small and light weight rocket. I used it a initial launch rocket to see what the winds were doing up above the 80' trees surrounding the medium size field. Based on how it flew and dropped, I adjusted the position of my launch pad by more than 100 yards to make sure all my larger rockets would have enough down wind field to safely land in.Yes it uses the smaller engines 1/4A and 1/2A that are about 1.5 inches long and 3/8" in diameter. Yes, this type of engine can be harder to find. But this rocket with an A3-4T climbs very quickly and goes to heights that other rockets (such as the Big Bertha) would dream of climbing to.
