We have talked about buying steamer for years and I finally saw one on a deal and did it. These do everything as expected and are really solid.Be careful if they are a little bigger than the pot … a gas stove and wood did exactly what it should. But that was user error not the product.

I love this new bamboo steamer it has metal alongside of it to maintain the roundness of it :)Plus with free chopsticks and steamer liner :)

I love my new bamboo steamer so much. I had been looking at a few of them but ultimately decided that this one with the metal rings would be the best to avoid any issues with warping (I had read that some of the cheaper ones that were bamboo only would warp and get all funky). I really appreciated that they sent a bunch of parchment paper circles with it so I could use it right away without having the make my own (it's convenient enough that I would probably reorder those).I always order a bunch of kitchen gadgets and most go unused quite a bit but I'm happy to say I'm actually finding a lot of use for this. I love the frozen dumplings at Trader Joes and using this steamer makes them taste like I got them at the chinese restaurant. I also have made steamed veggies in it as well as a recipe for steamed cantonese fish that I found on the (...) (if you're american and love chinese food this is a great blog, it's so easy!). I'm loving this so much that I've even been going on pinterest to look specifically for recipes using bamboo steamers.If you're on the fence about which to buy, just get this one..it's awesome.

It's currently Jan 2023 and I made this purchase in 2020 . I came here to purchase a new one because mine just broke. I love my streamer It's easy to clean , and the wood didn't get any mold or rotten . I believe my wood panel started to come apart because I would stuff mine, so be mindful not to over crowd even if it looks like it can hold. The wood is not sprayed or coated with anything harmful . My steamer was a staple in my cooking I would use at least 3x a week . Would recommend & today I'm purchasing my 2nd.

Steamer is very sturdy. I like the fact it came with Parchment paper, it makes it easier to steam without things sticking.

I have never owned a bamboo steamer before, and I won't need another for a very long time. This steams everything I use it for to perfection, and is very easy to wash (with use of any liner). It has two layers, so I can put in enough food for me and my fiance.Things to note:- It comes with 50 liners, which are great, and 2 pairs of chopsticks- It might smell like bamboo wood for a while, but it hardly affects the flavor of the food at all- I highly recommend purchasing a steaming ring to go with it if you don't already own one- I have used this dozens of times without an issue. If the wood on yours starts to splinter right away, I suggest trying to get an exchange, it shouldn't be doing that!Overall, I love cooking with this, and recommend it to anyone looking for a steamer.

This is a solid product. I do like the stainless edges which do not affect the surrounding bamboo by trapping water like i thought. It is well constructed. There is a smell so you have to steam the unit by itself to break it in, then the smell dissipates with further use. I dunk the unit into hot water for 30 minutes although the instructions on say not to do that then i steamed it by itself for 20 minutes. I feel i got most the new bamboo smell out this way and the unit is fine. Just keep it dry after use. Im very happy with my Bamboo steamer choise. One other thing i found it. Make sure you have a pan big enough to sit it on. I do not think the pan is supposed to touch the water. Still unclear on that.

It functions.The surface is not smooth. The manufacturer should grind it smooth.
