Liphontcta Shed, Barn, Gate 2x4 Bar Holder Kit with Security (Black)

I used these brackets to add a 2x4 bar to a cedar drive gate. The gate is not used very often, but I wanted something that would be easy to open and lockable and would help steady the gate in heavy winds when in place. These are well designed, heavy duty, ideal for my needs, and easy to install.

This kit is worth its weight in gold. What a great idea it was. It was easy to install and long term a great solution.

This is a great quality product. It serves its purpose greatly and the owner is very friendly and very responsive to questions. Quality product and service. I would recommend this purchase.

Contractor ordered these for a customer had to return. All the 4 the same brackets unable to make any sort of lock unless permanent. Horrible description and picture references. Never will order from them again in future.

2 month update, still 5 stars!This has worked great to keep the local bears out of our diy trash enclosure. We've woken up twice to our dog letting us know there's something out there to find in the morning new gouges in the wood of the enclosure and our trash safe inside.As pictured, I used a bar to secure the top of the doors. I also used a cane bolt to secure the inside right door (I can unlatch it when I open the left door and reach inside) and a simple sliding latch on the bottom outside. The whole thing is solid.The next battle is with the trash company who comes at 5 am and needs it at the curbside...Original Review:Worked great in securing our diy trash enclosure. Setup/installation was straight forward. We have a pesky black bear we're trying to discourage from going through our trash. Bears can be pretty smart in opening things so the hope is that this drop bar setup will make it more work then it's worth for Mr. Yogi Bear. A simple drop bar is too easy for a bear to figure out, but I'm hoping this will work. I'll try to remember to update this review as time passes but I am very optimistic about the quality of this hardware!

Perfectly and solidly constructed. Versatile; can be used at whatever length is required/desired. A thousand times better than the cheap mechanism that came with my storage shed. Confident that this will deter the casual thief and positive that anyone would have to make enough noise defeating it that myself and/or my dog will be alerted.

Strong. Workshop feels very secure with this added.

Amazing product. Such a simple and clever design. My shed is SECURE. Without a sawsall, you aint gettin in.
