I have the Spyderco Santoku knife and love it. I decided to buy a couple Counter Puppy knives - one for me and one for my son for Christmas. The knife is sharp right out of the box. The size is perfect. I like that it can sit on the counter on its "legs" which keeps the blade clean and probably helps prevent it from falling or cutting somebody accidentally. Like the Santoku, it will need to be handwashed and dried right away to prevent rust spots, but this is not difficult. I plan to buy a third for my other son.

I always thought SpyderCo was one of the better knife companies. This has a terrific blade (with the traditional SpyderCo hole). But, the best feature is the way you can have the knife stand on it's legs. This is a safer and cleaner way to put the knife down.The only thing I can say is not perfect is the handle length. For me if the handle was just 1/2" longer it would fit my hand better.

Knife blade sits above the counter ! Still sharp after 2 years of continuous use. Love the color - it's easy to pick out from the rest of the stuff from the countertop.

Just as advertised, The steel is a little soft, but it sharpens nicely.

I like these spyderco kitchen knives i have two of them now. They are sooo very sharp . The handle is small in the hands . If you are a large person you may want a a larger handle to get a comfortable grip.I love the knife and it is good for both vegtables or meat procesing.

Perfect little utility knife. Better quality blade than your typical (Victoronix) paring knife. I didn’t buy this for kitchen use, I keep it in my tackle box and use it to prepare bait and clean fish. If Spyderco offered a minimalist plastic sheath this would make a great deckhand’s knife.
