Magic The Gathering - Marton Stromgald - Ice Age

Marton Stromgald is a very strong Legendary Creature from Ice Age. Because he is on Wizards of the Coast's Reserve List of cards that they have promised never to be reprinted, Marton is a great collectible and also a very good card in the ever-so-popular and ever-growing Commander format. He makes an interesting choice for a Commander, but more often he is used within other aggressive red decks for his effect.His effect reads:"Whenever Márton Stromgald attacks, other attacking creatures get +1/+1 until end of turn for each attacking creature other than Márton Stromgald."Whenever Márton Stromgald blocks, other blocking creatures get +1/+1 until end of turn for each blocking creature other than Márton Stromgald."This means that both your attackers and your blockers can gain incredible amounts of power and toughness. The only downside is that he himself is only a 1/1, meaning that he can most often be easily destroyed. However, there are ways to make him unblockable, such as with Whispersilk Cloak, and indestructible, such as with Darksteel Plate. If he can't be killed, Marton Stromgald can make both your attacking and defending forces extremely powerful. He's a strong, very solid card that every Magic player should have in his or her collection.
