I hope dad's keeping ok,to be brief my name is Kevin Cheeseman,i went to Roan from 72 to 76 and played football and cricket with dad,I remember you on an isle of Wight tour.I'm only on about page 10 but loving it. Pre money days
A good insight into football pre money money money days, a good and exciting player, with coaching could maybe have been better.

anyone who saw Joey play which I did from his first match will enjoy the book and his honest store's about football life back then in the 50/60s

Great.
Got this for my Dad who played for the Millwall youth team in the late 50s. He was very pleased with it.

Ok for a quick simple read
Just really a rambling collection of a professional footballers highs and lows who ultimately seemed happier being a taxi driverNo mention of family just himselfDisappointing that the book was written by someone with academic qualifications but couldn’t spot the spelling mistakes

Fond Memories
An excellent read. Have the pleasure of knowing Joe Broadfoot, having played football and cricket against him, especially cricket. My club and Old Roan go back a long way
