I ordered two of these because I'd gotten on of the expensive Suboos and the reviews say this is the same. Well, the lantern itself looks and functions pretty much the same, but these lights came with blue 1600mah batteries instead of the green 2600mah ones in the more expensive lanterns, which would explain the price difference. I'm somewhat cynical about the labeling on batteries, especially when they come with probable Chinese clones, but when I tested the batteries out there was definitely a difference. I ran the two lanterns I'd gotten with this order on one each of the blue and green batteries, and sure enough the one with the blue battery started blinking red while the lantern with the green battery still looked good. When I put the batteries back in the charger the blue battery read around 2.62 volts and the green battery was still around 3.7. So, while these lights seem just as good as the ones in the expensive listing, they come with much weaker batteries, giving you much less runtime.

just got my light and as advertised its pretty bright and will make a real nice addition to my pop up gazebo when i'm camping it seems well constructed and easy to use with a large thumb screw to access the battery compartment that houses the USB port that will charge a phone or some other device however i give this product 4/5 stars because it states that it comes with 2 x 2600 mah batteries it does not. they are 1600 mah which is fine but why say bigger capacity batteries then send smaller ones, also it states that the power button glows blue when batteries are charged and red when low, i see no evidence of this function. Neither of these issues stop it from being a pretty good light for my gazebo and if you are thinking of buying this light you should go ahead and do itUpdate: I was contacted by customer service and they resolved my battery issue so I changed my 4 star to a 5 because they contacted me and resolved issue great customer service also product works very well buy from this seller with confidence

This is the same Suboos gen 2 as another person has pointed for $5 less. I have not use it extensively, but have tested in my garage at night. It provided ample lighting and it can charge your cell phone or any electronic devices that charges using USB. It comes with the two 18650 batteries as described, but i really wish they that they have an option to buy the light without the batteries. I have a lot of 18650 batteries and it would be nice to not have to pay extra for something i don't need. However, the price is decent to have one for outdoor or used as an emergency.Don't be shock when you open the box and find that there is no instruction. Everything is on the outside of the box.Side note - Given that this light put out more light and have the same USB charging function as the Suboos lantern, it is kind of odd that the lantern cost 2x this light.

I can NOT say enough. I use this light all the time for camping , walking(it has a little handle) , using my telescope I turn on the RED to preserve my night vision and during power outages at the house. I will order 5 more because I gave my 3 away to family members 1 during camping the others while the area was going through a power outage. I really want a solar charging on this light so I will have look and test I guess. BTW it also charges USB devices in case you need to make that important call etc...THANKS IMARKY

I really like this product. I first purchased from another vendor and gave them 5 Stars. But these were cheaper so I ordered two as Christmas gifts. Looks exactly the same and has the same SUBOOS item number. But the batteries in these are only 1600 mAh vs 2600 mAh in my first one. It's getting hard to believe Marketplace vendors. Disappointed, but will keep them. Many good features including the red light option and USB AUX power port. But with the lower power batteries, the advertised useful hours at different settings would seems to be much lower.

I have used this guy many times now and I love it. I charge him up a few nights before I go camping and don't have to worry about dead batteries. I have only used it up to 3 nights on a camping trip, so I don't know what the exact running time for it is, but it works great for 3 nights and doesn't take long to charge. It is durable (I have dropped it a couple of times), lightweight, and doesn't take up much room. Also, I have a young son so when I put him down for the night and return to the fire pit I put the light on the "red" selection so that it will not be too bright for my son to sleep, but I also have some light when I return to the tent for bed. Highly recommended.

Awesome little Lantern. Excited to get it and I gave it a try in the dark already. It is really bright and I think it will do the trick over in the islands. I like the three settings as well. I will try it out and let you know when I get back. I gave it a 4/5 stars because I thought I was going to get the 3350mAh batteries, instead I got the 2600Ahm. Not sure if this will last the test of 8-12hrs per night of run time. We shall see. I hope the rest of what the company claims will live up to itself. I know a lot of people who would like something like this in the islands and will be asking me to place their orders. As they say, time will tell.

This is a super bright and long lasting small lamp. fantastic choice for tent camping, the red light option is fun to use for pranks on other fellow campers, LOL! Charge has lasted days so far but with only minimal usage of about 30 min or less a day and some days i don't use it but still has full brightness and not loosing charge even when sitting on shelf.
