Perfect for the amateur gardener
I have never planted a seed or grown anything in my life (besides a bean in kindergarten) and I bought this to do with my kids for Easter. To my surprise, the stuff grew and we now have our first small garden started! We had to get the sprouts in our raised bed at around 2 weeks because they outgrew the cartons very quickly… maybe that’s our Louisiana climate or maybe just the time I planted, but I’m mind blown! The packaging suggests transplanting around 3 weeks but ours definitely needed to be transplanted sooner

Love everything about it and my plants are growing big!
I think I have 3 or 4 of the varieties of these now, and every single one has grown and every single one is producing still in my garden outside after these were started indoors under a grow light. I wish I could say I bought these for my kids (I don't have any) or my nieces or nephews, because these are so perfect for kids and having a really awesome gardening learning experience, but I totally bought them for myself and I am totally not ashamed! These actually come from a company in GA. Right in the US! I love the adorable kit, the variety in the seeds and the little markers and card instructions. Careful when removing the cardboard cover you see around the carton as this "poster" has all the instructions you need right on the back, which is also awesome, because it uses less waste and really utilizes the packaging. It also comes with cute little golf pencils for marking the sticks for each plant and REALLY if you follow directions these are fool proof! I would not hesitate to get these as a gift as well. Awesome awesome fun product.

Fun for little gardeners
We LOVE these! My 4yo daughter absolutely loved this for a rainy day activity. It was even more fun bc she was learning about gardens at preschool at the time. We actually transferred the seeds outside recently and they are growing! The only negative is that bc it is in an egg carton if u out a lot of water in (or if your kid pours it on- lol) the egg carton gets super soggy. So we put it on a large cutting board w towels around. By the time we replanted- the egg carton was done! But I give 4 stars for how fun it is and the excitement it brings to kids everyday when they wake up and see the seeds sprouted, then grew, then grew more! A great bday present too!

Use different seed starter mix!
Although this was a Christmas gift for my two year old granddaughter who wanted “green beans” for Christmas, my daughter waited until the week after Easter to plant the seeds in the egg carton with her. We followed the instructions carefully and used the soil disks included, wetting and mixing them completely! We planted other seeds in a different egg carton using a different seed starter mix at the same time and seeds began sprouting within days. This product’s seeds did not sprout for several weeks and only after my daughter added some of the other starter mix.

Helped Us Start Our Garden!
I've been saying for a long time we needed a little garden. My wife grabbed this kit to plant the veggies with our daughter. They grew so fast I had to get off my butt and make a planter outside. Now we have a beautiful, thriving garden full of squash! :-D

Don’t waste your money!
I really, really, really wanted to like these. I love the concept for little ones. My niece is four and she was SO excited to plant and watch her flowers grow. We waited four days...we waited seven days...we waited almost three weeks and NOTHING happened. Absolutely nothing. So why am I rating this product two stars if the flowers didn’t grow? Well, the customer service is friendly and she tried to be helpful. They sent me a replacement kit and explained that heat from improper storage or from sitting in a mailbox can impede the growth. Well, our packages were left in the mailbox for approx. 20 minutes on a 25* day. So I wouldn’t blame that. I appreciated the replacement, which was also in the mailbox for less than an hour, but that one also did nothing. But my niece did enjoy the planting part. Kind of lucky that her attention span is short and she often forgot about them. (We watered them even if she forgot.)

Worth it
So far 5 days in and already have sprouts for radish, watermelon, squash, and cucumbers. Green beans are starting to pop up too. Very easy to follow directions and good results so far :)

Great seed starter though no greenhouse option.
Great little product . Most of the seeds sprouted so now I can plant them directly in the garden just separating the egg carton sections. Of course it also gave me the idea to reuse my egg cartons with more seeds.
