CricutSmart Permanent Vinyl (5.5in x 48in, Kelly Green) for Joy machine - matless cutting for shapes up to 4ft, & repeated cuts up to 20ft

I love that Cricut makes the Smart Vinyl for the Cricut Joy. It makes my life so much easier. I do wish the material was a little longer for the price, but it does beat not having to use the mat for every single diy project. The fact that I just load it in is a plus for me. I haven’t had any issues with weeding. I also like the grids in the back that make measuring and cutting easy. The vinyl permanent definitely lives up to its name, in my opinion. So far, I’ve used it on wood surfaces and tumblers, and the adhesive has not come off. I’ve washed the tumblers many times and those letters aren’t going anywhere! Although the Smart Vinyl is not needed for the Cricut Joy, it’s a great add on bonus.

This white vinyl is sold on white backing paper... so you have to be in a very sunny place to see well enough to weed accurately. A contrasting backing paper would be nice. Also, the white smart vinyl is nearly impossible to pick up on transfer paper. Other colors of the same brand are much easier. The white is utterly incompatible with the cricut brand transfer paper. I have found another brand that will grab it... but with a lot of manipulation.

I think overall this was pretty easy to use and I liked that you didn't need a mat but when you make something its waste at least an inch of vinyl every time, that adds up!!! I liked doing it on the mat better with regular vinyl but again you have to make something really small to use this machine. The vinyl also was very difficult to weed unlike the oracle brand which is a breeze!! I hope they change that issue with it wasting the first inch of vinyl!!

A pain to use. It doesn’t pull off of the backing very well, even with strong hold transfer tape. Quite disappointing

Very nice quality (better than other Cricut vinyl). Very easy to use snd super easy to weed.

What can i say that people dont already know. Cricut smart products are awesome, easy to use, durable and the prices are great. Granted you can find cheaper products but you get what you pay for with cricut products. Also the smart products are awesome because there is no need for a cutting mat. So that eliminates one extra step and a few extra dollars right away. Highly recommend, i have the Joy and Explore air 2 and use almost strictly cricut products. Try them out and you will be extremely glad you did i can almost guarantee it.

I was looking forward to using this product, and it would not transfer to any transfer paper. Since it doesn’t come off the backing very well I have to hand place my cuts which w not why I bought it, I will try a different product next time.

The colour shown in the ad is incorrect. It is not gold-gold. It is very dark and has this dark green undertone. Very unappealing tone. I was looking forward to work on my project but unfortunately I have to send it back.

Gave low rating as box came damaged i brought towards a gift collection i was making but could not put this in as it looked like it got kicked around.. my daughter used it instead such a shame as it is good stuff.

If it's for detailed work it can be very tricky. if using it for mugs it feels kinda rough because of the thickness but it's ok and durable.If i was making mugs to sell id use sublimation instead but it's not bad. good for signs such as for boats.

ordered by accident so sitting in my cupboard doing nothing. Dont know what to use it for. If I wanted to return it I'd have to pay 4 pound so not worth it for couple if quid

It sticks well and it is easy to use and is good value for money
