If you are on the fence about doing your own nails, this kit is the PERFECT one to start with. My first manicure with this kit lasted 10 days. I noticed some lifting around the edges and on the tips but it didn't start until I did a deep clean on my bathroom and used bleach. I believe the chemicals may have had a hand in the demise of that first mani. Lesson learned, buy gloves. My natural nails are very thin and flexible. They break just buttoning pants or pulling clothes from the wash. With this kit, I didn't break a single nail in the 10 days I had my nails done. I'm now on day two of my second mani and I still love it just as much. I use a basecoat, 3 coats of color, and 2 top coats.The one con to this kit, the colors aren't quite the same color as it shows in the listing. They are still pretty, just not quite the same.

Review update: this set is still so amazing! The instructions are so easy to follow. This was my first experience with gel polish and I am super happy. A coworker recommended this and I got my kit today and have done both my own nails and my daughter’s. I am amazed at how fast this dries under the light. It was easy even on short nails. The cuticle pusher is awesome. It has weight and is curved perfectly. The lamp worked great although I broke one of the legs off (otherwise it would be a five star review). It is very light weight and I found it easier to hold and cure the nail rather than try to set the nails under it standing. If you hold the light you can cure your whole hand. If you use the stand you’ll need to do your thumbs separate. My nails look like I went to a salon. Now we just have to see how long the polish lasts, but I have a good feeling!

The media could not be loaded.  This kit was great! It came with everything I needed & easy to follow instructions. Being a cosmetologist I was a bit skeptical & honestly was hesitant in purchasing due to mixed reviews but I’m so glad I did purchase it. Gel polishes can be very expensive at beauty supply stores, especially if you’re just starting out, so this is a great kit to start & practice with. My nails look so good & I can tell the polish will last. The bottles did seem very small at first, but a little goes a long way. I purchased the nail dehydrator & nail primer separately & they work so great! I will definitely be buying more polishes!

So I have always wanted to get a gel manicure but couldn't justify the expense with two small kids and me a SAHM. Regular manicures never last on me bc I play with my kids, cook, dig in the dirt, and am generally pretty rough on my hands. Tips and acrylics always damage my already prone to peeling, and cracking nails. I saw this kit and thought I'd give it a try bc it seemed like a good value and had decent reviews. The system is fairly simple to use and the manicure has held up for almost a week so far. However, there are only two out of the six colors they send you that seem pigmented enough to produce a quality manicure (a third is a glitter coat that is supposed to be translucent to go over the other colors). Even after three coats, you could still see my nail through the polish. I realize I could do more coats, but that would take more time than I am willing to dedicate to giving myself a manicure. It already takes a good amount of time to clean, shape, and prep your nails, then apply the base coat, three color coats, and a top coat or two, with curing time under the lamp in between. And you can't put all five of your fingers under the lamp at the same time (it's too small), so you do four on one hand, four on the other, then both your thumbs. First time through took me an hour and 45 min (that includes reading directions and watching a couple of tutorials on YouTube). I'm sure I'll get more efficient at it but I'll also have to work in time to remove the manicure from the previous week next time (and keep in mind that the materials you'll need to do that DON'T come in this kit). At any rate, I still think it beats painting your nails with regular polish and having it chip a day or two later, and it remains a good value because at roughly $20, you'll get several manicures out of the set, even with only two of the colors being pigmented enough to look nice, and you get tons of tools, which are necessary for nail prep. You'll pay more for one gel mani in a salon. I say give it a try. At that price, maybe you enjoy the tools and learn to do your own gel mani's and then go purchase better polish elsewhere. Wouldn't be a total loss.

I like the products! Instructions on each item don’t match up (instructions with the paint vs, instructions with the UV light), but I feel like it would be hard to mess up. I trimmed and filed my nails to give them texture and pushed down my cuticles. Then I put on the base coat, 2-3 coats of the color, and the top coat using the UV light in between each layer. And it’s easier to do 4 fingers, 4 fingers, and then both thumbs since the UV light is so small (which is what their instructions suggest as well): I painted my 2 year olds fingernails and mine and It worked well for both of us!

Loved this gel kit!! It is a perfect starter kit if you just want to try out gel nails. This was my first time, I had watched a bunch of YouTube tutorials so I could know what to expect. I wanted a new system since I don’t go to the mail salon anymore and basic polish lasts a couple days if that. The process was simple and easy and the mini UV light is small and cheap lol BUT it does the job which is what I was looking. Definitely recommend this kit and love the neutral colors I got.

I absolutely love this little kit! It’s really good for someone who’s never tried gels before & it comes with instructions on how to apply, which is great for a beginner like myself. I did struggle to open the stands on the UV light when I first tried it but I did get round to finally opening it. The kit has a cute nude type selection of colours & I love them. It comes with both a base & top coat which is really good & cuticle oil which is really useful too. I did think the colours were a bit watery at first but I think it’s just because it’s the first coat, but other than that, I’m so glad I bought it! I was a bit wary of the product at first as there was a few bad reviews but the majority were really good! Other than that, I really recommend this cute little kit to anyone that’s looking for a beginners kit! I will definitely be ordering some more colours too :)!

My Daughter’s ReviewI ordered this as I wanted to get back into Gel nails after working in a salon for 6 years after having a break.This is a lovely starter kit with 6 colours and all the kit you need to get started. I was very impressed.This led lamp is a little small but is does an excellent job! Better then some lamps I have worked with in the past.I found positioning your hand like I have done in the photo I’ve attached really works well when curing the gel.The photo is 1 week after application, so far no chips or any sign of it peeling off which is great. If you prep your nails exactly the way it tells you to in the instructions then you should have no problems.Also if you don’t want the tacky sticky feeling left at the end on your nails then just wipe over with the cleanser wipes that comes with the kit or even use an hand anti bacterial gel on cotton wool and just wipe over. Works the same. Also apply cuticle oil at the end of curing so your cuticles don’t look dry after prepping your nails.I would 100% recommended this for starting out or even just to use on yourself at home.Eventually I will buy a bigger lamp but this is fab to start with.Hope this reviews helps.

The nail gel great, nice colours but your uv lamp is tiny....god help you if you have big hands or big feet!! But dont get me wrong , it does do the job , i was just really disapointed with the uv lamp . Could be better.

Nifty little nail kit ! I was bit unsure about it when it arrived as the lamp is small but it was perfect and just what I need. I didn’t want anything bulky just something that easily goes away in a draw when not in use.You could take it away with you on a holiday or break as takes up no room.The tools also included in the kit are of high quality and do the job perfectly.Cuticle oil is fab as it’s a brush pen that you twist and releases just enough oil so mess free.I found the nails have taken really well they arn't gloopy or lumpy with a real nice finish to them, with a fuss free top coat which doesn’t need smoothing off.Colours are lovely, if steps are followed correctly you won’t be disappointed and it is at a great price too. I did 3 coats of colour gel to get that salon finish doing it finely with each coat.Down side is the packaging it comes in a zip polyethylene bag, with no real protection except the Amazon cardboard box.

This is great value for money, don't hesitate to buy.1) The bottles may seem small, buy they are 7ml of product in each one and last for many times to use.2) The lamp may seem small, but it is very powerful and really convenient for home, travel and professional use.3) The colours are really nice and last for many days. Thin layers should be applied for gel and shellac, so that the nails cure evenly and don't bubble.4) You can use gels from any brand with this lamp and base/top coats.I'm not planning to go again to nail technicians after the lockdown, as it's pretty simple to practice and start doing them at home, and there is no need to waste money when you can do something by yourself.I also bought a nail drill, so that I can remove the shellac faster, clear the cutticles and buff my nails.I've already recommended to friends.
