ZippoBiohazard Lighters.

This Zippo is relatively new to my collection, I have had it for about 2 months now. I bought this lighter from Hat Shark, and I have to say that I am very impressed. The Zippo arrived one day before the earliest estimate, packed decently, in perfect condition. There are no scratches or dings in the finish, or chips in the paint. Once you open the cap, the chimney is a flawless polished silver - not a scratch on it. The wick, flint, chimney and cotton were all in perfect condition. Once lit, my lighter burned with a constant yellow flame, like all of my other Zippos. Once again, it is a great lighter to look at. The matte black paint is comfortable in the hand, and attractive. The yellow finish itself is more of a glazed glossy finish, it's smooth to the touch, and appears to be a separate layer from the paint. Lastly, the nameplate on the bottom of the lighter is a bronze color, not the color of the body. It seems that the finish will hold up well over time, and I assume that there will be no problems with this lighter! Hope this helps.

This is the first genuine Zippo lighter I have ever owned, and i can't believe i waited this long. Over the years I had come across them in someone's curio drawer or wherever and they wouldn't light because the owner was either too lazy to refill it or replace a flint. Well, this thing is awesome. Lights the first time, every time. You will need to refill it, so buy the Zippo fluid too. There also is nothing like the sound these things make when you open and close them.The Bioharzard design (it is only on one side) looks painted on, not a decal, and should last. This lighter has a black finish, which I imagine will fade and scuff over time, and you will need to refill it with lighter fluid. But after trying to work with butane lighters, including some expensive ones, this will be a real pleasure, especially to light outside.And I can't tell you how nice it is to read "Made in USA" for a change! Don't confuse a genuine Zippo with the import knockoff junk they sell in discount stores. It has a lifetime guarantee and Zippo will fix for free if it fails for any reason.

This is a very stylish lighter. I've seen allot of reviews saying the lighter case is of poorer quality. It may be a quality control issue... mine has been holding up fairly well rattling around in my pocket next to my 4sevens flashlight. However, I'm not a smoker and am perhaps not putting the lighter through as much use as others. (Take it as you will.) Even then, the lighter does have zippos "for life" warranty so you should be able to replace it with ease.As I do not smoke I've replaced the zippo insert with a thunderbird butane insert to conserve fuel and make sure the lighter will always light when I need it to. It works great for my purposes. As a bonus, I've figured out there is just enough space inside the lid of a zippo to place one flattened tinder-quik tinder. (Friction keeps the tinder in place.) This insures you always have a bit of fire tinder on your person. (It should be noted that this might not be a good idea for those using the regular zippo insert if you do not blow the flame out before closing the zippo.) With this zippo on my person I'm ready for z-day.

This zippo is great, the only bad thing is that the symbol is only on one side of the lighter. The other side is all black. Other than that the decal is good quality and it will not scratch off unless you are super rough with it.It works like all zippos and it has the same warranty. If you like this design you can't go wrong. Please keep in mind that these do NOT come preloaded with fuel. You need to buy that separately and do it yourself. It takes about 60 seconds to fill up making these lighters super easy to maintain.The fuel will dry up/evaporate in about a week or so. Keep this in mind, if you use a lighter every day or pretty often you can't go wrong with a zippo. If it's just for once in a while get a disposable one instead unless you don't mind fueling it every once in a while when you do need it.Pro tip: Covering the zippo with a condom will slow down the fuel evaporation quite a bit.

My past experience with the "zippo" lighters has always ended with disappointment. But then again those were little cheap nameless brand zippo style lighters. They only cost $1 each. Those were terrible. They needed to be refilled twice a day and leaked constantly, so it's no surprise I was reluctant to purchase another zippo lighter. Much to my amazement, the name brand does make a different. This is a fantastic lighter. It only needs to be refilled about once every 1 1/2 - 2 weeks or so. It produces a rather large flame. The print is high quality, meaning it's not going to peel off or smudge or anything, not that the design matters that much but if you're going to spend $20 on a lighter, it might as well be a lighter with all the bells and whistles that appeal to you. There's not a whole lot to report about this lighter. It hasn't let me down and honestly I'm just glad I didn't spend $20 on something I'll regret. If you're looking for something a little more flashy to enhance your smoking experience then I would recommend it.

First off, I should say that I'm not a smoker, nor have a ever owned a lighter. However, my boyfriend is a smoker, so I bought this as a Christmas gift for him. I don't know what kind of lighter he currently has, but I do remember him complaining about it before. I don't know a thing about lighters, but I wanted to get him a good quality one. I did some research and I discovered the Zippo brand. While looking through different Zippo lighters, I saw this one and knew without a doubt that this was the one for him; it had his name written all over it. I placed my order on November 29th, and it arrived today, December 4th. I was pleasantly surprised because the estimated arrival date was December 7th. The lighter came in a black box that said Zippo on it, and that box came in a slightly larger brown Amazon.com box with a bag of air to keep the lighter safe. The lighter is gorgeous in person and the hazardous symbol with the blood is just so awesome. I also ordered a gift box with fluid and flints to go along with the lighter. I can't wait to see the look on my boyfriend's face when he sees this. I know he'll love it.

The last time I purchased a new Zippo was over 20 yrs. ago. I have always been impressed with the build quality, fit and finish and lifetime warranty offered by this company regarding their lighters. Although I have never required warranty service, my small collection of Zippos dating back to the early 80's is testament to the enduring nature of their products.Everyone should own at least ONE Zippo. They are easy to re-fill and use fluid, flints, and wicks that are available even at the smallest store. A new Zippo lighter can be pricey and are often found in specialty shops but you will find great bargains for them right here on Amazon.ca. Add a can of lighter fluid and some flints and "presto"...You now have the perfect gift.I purchased the above Zippo as a gift and am very impressed with it. This Zippo was made with pride in the USA and appears to be of the same high-quality workmanship as with their older models. I really like how Zippo has modernized and now offers a numerous array of different colours, coatings, finishes and embossings' that appeal to a greater number of people. Right out of the box. Of course, to add that special touch, they are all still able to be engraved. I also really like Zippo's switch to a cardboard gift box as opposed to the previous plastic jewel-case type box they used in the past.To conclude, I also found the "Black Matte, Hazardous" design on the actual item to be much more vibrant than both pictured or described. So much so that I'm going to try to convince my family to purchase one of these for me as a gift...Highly recommended.
