Safety 1st Blind Cord Wind Ups

I had just bought a new home and remembered having these when my young adults were little. I bought them to help hide long cords. I have 2 crazy rescue cats and the cords were very long on our blinds and this helped keep the cords from always tangling. Very easy to use and did the job with good value for the cost.

These were easy to install but you have to pull the string from the not covered side to open shades. If you pull this part or the little knob, everything will fall apart. But from a safety perspective they get the job done. If you have a little one who is rougher with things and monkeys around with it, you will find it has come apart. Luckily our 1 year old doesn't touch it or really pay it much attention.

Bought to hide the blinds cords from our cats. It works ok, but I find that the two halves of the "spool" come apart way too easily.

The look and functionality of these are unmatched! Super cool!! Easy to use!

The front of this keeps popping off, making it useless. I found a workaround by taping it shut but shouldn't have to do that with an item like this. I'll get something better as soon as I can afford it.

I know safety first has been known for good products for baby proofing, but these are perfect even if I don’t have a baby! I hate having one chords, unnecessarily dragging, and these are so simple to use with a great result.You just find the center of the length of the cord, attach the two halves of the item together, and twist one half while it’s closed so it rolls and coils inside. Just like that very simple, but so effective. They’re not too bulky either in my opinion so I thought they were great.Highly recommend.

They look good, but other than that, not great. They snap off easily and even when you wind up the blinds, when you open the blinds, the cord naturally gets longer and then is unsafe. I thought they might wind up as you open and shut the blinds, but no, the product is just to keep the cord permanently winded up.

These things are great for cords on blinds! We used them when our daughters were little and now we are using them again ten years later for our son. They are so simple and easy to use, it's amazing that every baby retailer isn't carrying them. Thank goodness for amazon!We like these better than the kind that you have to wind the string around the hook that attach to the molding because you still have full use of the blind even though the excess is in the plastic cap. Great product!
