Lovely butter dish.
Great dish, lovely colour. I like that the lid isn’t fitted, makes it easy to clean

Very nice product
The colours on this are lovely - a blue fade to white and the ceramic seems to be robust. The lid is loose fitting, which is fine, but be aware that it does show water marks if you wash it. It does the job nicely in terms of fitting in a standard pat of butter and we're very pleased with it!This is the second product I’ve had by this manufacturer Mikasa. They have a rather Japanese vibe but I guess the name a riff on “my house“ in Spanish or Portuguese. Anyway they’re really pretty, decent quality blue and white ware so I’ll be looking out for this make.

High quality, large ceramic butter dish, attractive wooden lid will not stick due to loose design
Creative Tops Drift 'Blue Ombré' Stoneware Butter Dish,At first glance this appears to be a tad expensive for a butter dish, but it really is nice, it has a touch of class. The first thing I noticed about this was it's size, it is bigger than most butter dishes that we've had. The dish is quite deep which is a good thing as it should prevent the butter from touching the underside of the wooden lid. This was designed in the UK but made in China, so it's China from China! Despite the country of origin, this does appear to be well made and should last for many years if treated with respect. The butter dish measures 3” deep x 4½" wide x 6" long (7.5 x 11 x 15 cm). This is a ceramic dish that is quite thick and heavy, it has a good shiny glaze with no imperfections that I could detect. This looks really nice with the blue misted band around the base. Around the top is an overhanging lip which should help prevent any butter making it's way down the side. The lid is made from a single piece of hardwood, this has been machined around the edge so that it sits loosely on top of the dish. The reason for the loose lid is so that it doesn't become stuck in the fridge if coated with butter. This wood has an attractive grain pattern, carved into the wood on top is the word 'Butter'. The lid has been sealed with a light coat of lacquer which has made the grain stand out nicely, the lacquer should prevent the wood from staining when butter comes into contact with it.I do like this dish, it holds a block of butter with plenty of spare space inside. The lid sits loosely on top but it does seal well, so there is no risk of dust or insects making their way inside. I'm not sure if this is dishwasher proof as no instructions were supplied, personally I will be cleaning this in a bowl of soapy water just to be on the safe side.Thank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.

Well made and looks nice
While this butter dish isn't a perfect match for my other items, it does tone in well as the blue colour is the same as some of the blue on the other things, so I'm happy that it doesn't look out of place. It is solidly made and shouldn't break easily if dropped but care should be taken anyway. The lid isn't a tight fit but it isn't supposed to be, so you do need to be careful that the lid doesn't fall off when you pick it up. It's nice enough to have on the table if you want to put butter on your veggies. I'm currently using a glass one and I'm forever having to move it around the kitchen depending on which direction, and upon which surface, the sun is shining, I won't have to bother with this butter dish as it's not like a magnifying glass to melt my butter! A large slab of butter fits snuggly inside, I did have to push it in and the edges got a little squished but, of course, I'll be taking it out of the wrapper before use and that might make all the difference. I usually use Lurpak for bread and veggies, the Anchor is for mash as it's cheaper, but I don't have any spare Lurpak in at the moment, it's already in my glass butter dish, which is why I haven't unwrapped it for my lovely new butter dish. It is a considered purchase for a butter dish but if you know it will go with your other stuff then it is well worth it as it's well made and sturdy and should last a long time. I like the way it looks in my kitchen, I'm very happy with it.

Butter dish
This works well as a butter dish. It has a ceramic base, which helps to keep the butter cool, and a wooden top, which just rests on the base with an extra lip of wood inside to stop it sliding off. Unfortunately, the inner lip of wood hasn’t been finished very well on the sample I received, with loads of splinters around the perimeter - tricky to sand off and not something you want to be doing on an item with a fairly premium price tag. Indeed, with that high rrp in mind, it is a pity that this doesn’t come in a box, just some bubble wrap, which doesn’t really make it look very special. The label attached states this needs to be hand washed, not placed in a dishwasher. I understand that need for the wooden lid, but it seems odd to have to hand wash the base. Mine will go through the dishwasher as necessary and I will let you know if that presents any issues. It looks fine and works with 250g blocks of butter; I don’t get the 500g blocks so don’t know if they will fit inside, although I think they probably will - I will update my review if I get a larger block either way.Presentation is not great and it is a bit disappointing if you are thinking of gifting.

Gorgeous dish but the lid doesn't fit
This is a large butter dish, the dish itself is beautifully made and has a lovely ombre colouring. The dish is huge and the lid makes it even wider. The lid on the one I received fits extremely poorly. The inside has been carved away too much so there is no seal whatsoever and when I pick it up the lid is knocked off. I have photographed it to show how it just slides from one side to the other. if the lid fit correctly this would be a great butter dish

Schlimmer Geruch
Sieht sehr gut aus, aber extremer chemischer Geruch, selbst nach vielen Tagen des Lüftens. Habe die Butterdose zurückgeschickt.
