I found this book very interesting.

This book is a thing of beauty. A scrumptious, cosy, coffee in hand in front of the fire delicious read. It's not just informative it's beautifully laid out and conceptualised. I couldn't stop flicking through it to soak in the images and design and then I started reading the pages that first caught my attention, followed by going through it in detail. It's such a nice surprise to see an international institution like Kew Gardens, a place I visited regularly growing up nearby, turn its hand to such an interesting subject like the witch's garden: something so many people are becoming more interested in as we start to reconnect with our roots and heritage. As you can tell I just love this book!

I haven't finished this book yet but so far I have found it to be informative and well written. I am glad I bought this book as I was a bit worried it may be lacking in substance or it will end up repeating itself just to fill up the pages - nothing like it at all. The history of the plants and medicinal qualities used by the Romans/Greeks and Culpepper are really interesting and well presented. It would make a lovely gift for anyone interested in gardening/plants in general.

Easy to read, fascinating snippets about plants we take for granted. A great read for these cold days when we long to get back into the garden - and also interesting planting ideas.
