Not Just for Kids
This is a very nice training tool for all levels of tennis players. It is much cheaper and lighter than a full ball machine. It doesn’t do nearly as much, or send balls very far, but it’s great for grooving something in your stroke you might be working on with the equivalent of a hand feed. This would be great for beginners and intermediate players but also for advanced players. I am a 4.O USTA player. I have a friend who is a 5.0 and used to play on tour who uses this too.I keep it in the back of the car with a basket of balls. It’s very portable and easy to use.I just wish it had a built-in rechargeable battery.

Fun tennis practice while social distancing!!
Great for getting some practice in. Especially when you can’t find someone to practice with. A little pricey but I’m not gonna go to a gym these days!

Awesome for casual tennis players
This is easy to use and set up. It's portable and fits easily in the front sea of my car with my tennis bag (I've included my racket with it in the photo so you can see the size). I'd say it's great for beginners or people who want to work on their technique- so much more cost effective than constantly renting a larger machine. So far I'm very happy and would recommend it. It also appears to be made in the USA which is a great perk as well.

Sent old stock?
Ordered the tennis twist last October of 2022. I was looking forward to trying it after hearing about it for years. Was not able to use it for several months due to moving and the constant rain in my area. After finally getting it going, i encountered a peculiar problem. After fllling the machine with balls and turning it on, the balls kept getting stuck while rotating down the machine. I kept having to tap the machine to get the balls to resume flowing downward. It would happen consistently and ruined my workouts.I sent an email with pictures to the manufacturer Sports Tutor but never received a response.. Finally i called and spoke to the service manager and described the problem. He was surprised that no one responded to the email. He looked at the picure i sent and said that the situation had not happened for a long time since they changed the design. Which means either they sent me old stock that was sitting in their warehouse or the problem is still happening. Not acceptable in either case. He informed me that he would send a replacement unit out and it should arrive the next week. Unit never arrived and i called again. He said that he was unable to send it yet but it would go out that day. Replacement arrived quickly that time.I have not had a chance to try the replacement yet but will see if the same problem occurs. It is still under warranty, which is good. Not sure if i would buy from Sports Tutor again as their customer service is not very good and the fact that i was probably sent old stock that does not work properly, It sholuld not even have been in their warehouse in the first place. I will update review when i try the replacement part.

Great gadget for the money - well made and not just for beginners
This is a fantastic piece of machinery for the price. Most of the "serious" ball machines cost at least $800 and are much less portable. This gives you a lot of options for a fantastic workout and is not just for beginners. I am about a 4.5 and still get a great workout from this. The key is to place it in different places. You can place it so it results in a short shot you attack to go up to net or a rally ball baseliner, or what I like to do is place it so it bounces right at the baseline to practice high backhands. I've also started experimenting with angling it slightly by elevating the back a bit with wood to get lower shots. This is not going to replace a real rally partner that can hit a variety of shots but you can not beat the price and it is a great way to work on your strokes no matter what your level. 5 stars.

Great for beginners
We bought this item to use while the tennis courts are closed due to Covid-19. Its very easy to use and very portable. It is definitely more for a beginner player. The #1 setting is great for a 5 year old, the #5 setting isn't still a very small trajectory and great for a very beginner teen or adult player or a more experienced child. It doesn't not vary the bounce or trajectory so every launch is the same. Would work well for someone focusing on forehand strokes (in one place).
