Great Standard Pattern
I think everyone should have this pattern with them! It’s such a simple pattern, but having a pleated skirt pattern on hand is such a life saver! And the various shirts are great for so many anime and video game cosplays!

Good value
Made a sailor outfit for my granddaughter for a play, needed a size small.

Measurements aren't very accurate, but an overall good pattern
The pattern runs a little small. I cut it for the size twelve and had to throw out my first attempt at the blouse because it didn't fit. The pieces for the A tie are a bit odd. I found that it wasn't long enough so I had to redo that. Other than those minor measurement problems, a great pattern.

Must be an easier way to make this costume.
I had a few problems with this pattern such as the way the sleeve bands and short sleeves were sewn together. I was making a size 12 top and was surprised at how small in circumference the sleeve bands were--they would not fit around the free arm of the sewing machine and were really hard to sew. The knife pleated skirt was terribly hard to get right. First it was too big, then too small. I finally printed several sets of instructions from the internet and read until I understood what they best way was to get the skirt the right size for the waist band. The package instructions had the zipper sewn in first and the side seams completed so the sewer is working with a huge tube that is pleated on the appropriate lines of the pattern first. All the internet instruction said to leave the zipper until last so the pleats can be adjusted to the size needed before sewing the last side seam. My grand daughter wanted a costume Sailor Venus for Comicon and I was determined to make this pattern work, but boy, it was a lot of work. Especially for such a simple looking costume. This was the only pattern I could find that came close to matching what she wanted and I was glad to find it, but I would never sew this costume from this pattern again.

not true to size!
I bought this for my G daughter who is about a medium. I made the 8 and it barely fits a 9 yr old. Beware if you make it,runs extremely small
