Worth the Price
I live in rural North Dakota. It can get really cold here; really cold. The thermometer outside my kitchen window read a steady Minus 30F with a slight breeze when I field tested these gloves today. Modern technology that works. It isn't very often that I would go outside in minus 40 as the gloves are advertised but I walked for just under an hour in my normal sub zero gear and my hands stayed absolutely toasty. I am 5'11'' 195 lbs and the extra large are perfect for me. Large would have been too small. Lightweight good value in my book.

Liked My First Pair to Come Back for Another
Bought a pair a few years ago and wore through a few finger tips with tough outdoor work. Would have preferred longer lasting but really only a few finger tips leather wore through. Liked the awesome warmth - these are the warmest gloves I have found down to the teens. Really like the long wrist coverage too. I don't know how you can beat these for the price.

Pretty decent set of snow gloves....
I bought these for shoveling snow and have tried them for two snows so far this winter and they are pretty good for that. They are warm, and keep my hands dry but the deer hide gets pretty wet, so that's why I deducted one star as you'll need to sno-seal the deer hide or something along those lines. Deer hide is pretty tough stuff, yet soft and supple. I prefer it over cowhide leather especially for gloves and wallets. The downside is that it readily absorbs water. My hands were actually sweating in them this morning shoveling snow, but it was not very cold. Around 32 degrees. So far I really like them.

Well worth it
Great gloves for skiing. Felt very tight at first, but Instructions said that they would be. Wore them many times to break them in before actually using them to Ski. Fit well now.

Warm, waterproof, and durable!
I almost returned them, because the leather palms were so thin, but the leather has held up really well! I use the as work gloves, so they get a lot of wear. They’re starting to show a little wear on the fingertips, but they’re still good to go for quite a while.Far better than *namebrand* insulated work gloves that are not water resistant at allWill buy again

Perfect in size
I purchased on a whim to see if size was correct unlike other brands . They fit perfectly I have very large hands ... completely satisfied will buy again . One more comment in the package I also received a pair of deerskin work gloves slightly used with some stains on them that also kinda fit correct but I was not charged for them nor did I request them . Don't understand that but I will use them often .. if they have anymore of the freebies feel free to send my way .po

Do not buy if you want to keep hands dry and warm
Never written a negative review before. Advertised in several places on ad as waterproof. Tag on gloves says water resistant. Big difference. Bought them to shovel snow in Wisconsin. Bought them in October, but first real snow not until January. Shoveled in 20 degree weather. Hands got wet and then cold. Useless product for advertised intent. Can’t return because return time has elapsed. Buyer beware. If someone in Florida wants them, I will send them to you.Water resistant is very different from waterproof. Items that are water resistant will repel the effects of water to a point. After a period of exposure, or a certain amount of pressure, water will either soak the item or seep through.. Waterproof means impervious to water, a much higher standard.Although the ad says waterproof in several places, the gloves have a tag that says water resistant. These gloves are NOT waterproof. The ad literally says it is waterproof and perfect for snow shoveling. It is not. Their ad is misleading and downright untrue.

A bit of a letdown
I want to start of by saying I had a very similar pair of deerskin mittens I purchased several years ago. They have a lot of similarities (deerskin, waterproof etc) to these mittens which leads me to believe they were made by the same company. I can't be certain but nonetheless this review will be comparing my old pair to these new ones. Even if they weren't made by the same company it still showcases the flaws of this deerskin product. I put these mittens to the test during our cold, sometimes harsh Minnesota winters working around our hobby farm property. These deerskin mittens at first glance look great. They fooled me since they look almost identical to my old pair. My biggest problem with theses mittens is the lining. They secured the inner lining to the outer shell in only two places, a small portion of the finger tips and the thumb tip. This makes for a very loosey goosey situation since the insulation is floating in between. Imagine wearing two separate pairs of mittens on each hand. If they had sewn the lining along the entire perimeter (like every other insulated mitten I've ever owned) this wouldn't be a problem. My old pair also had finger separators which further improved dexterity, and warmth. The lining is not as nice on these new mittens but I could look past that if this was the only flaw.I found them to be quite warm. No complaints there. They are also nice and long and they have a durable outer shell with nice looking deerskin. I also verified they are waterproof. So in conclusion, if you're simply looking to keep your hands warm and don't need to do much work with them on, you might be happy with them.

WARM All Day In Below-Freezing Weather!
So, first the bad. These gloves provide ZERO dexterity, haha, so if you need to do anything even the least bit precise, you will have a very tricky time. They also provide no touchscreen sensitivity, but they’re not marketed as such, so no biggie there.HOWEVER. These are easily the warmest gloves I’ve ever worn. I’ve spent the last 2 days on a bike for 6 hours in below-freezing temperature, and my hands were perfectly warm (even a little toasty) all day long.If you need some super warm gloves and aren’t needing to be dexterous, I recommend these gloves 100%!
