Honestly I was surprised to see so many one star bad reviews on this product. Clearly some of the people that have purchased it do not understand how to fold it so it holds tight. I added a picture that demonstrates what the hair tie should look like in your hair if you are folding it correctly. I have very fine hair and not very much of it so this allows me to have a high pony with lots of volume.

I was hesitant after reading all the bad reviews but I also figured it might be because some people don't know how to use it. I don't blame them, the instructions that came with them aren't actually correct.I've worn it ALL DAY, it didn't move. For reference, I have very fine hair (curly but roots become straighter after a few days).For it to work properly:1. Please all your hair through the loop2. Push the silicone hair tie tight on your scalp and release the hair3. Mold the tie flat with your hair spread out through the whole length, kind of like a sandwich4. Put your right thumb half an inch from the left end of the tie, and fold the left end behind your thumb5. Hold the left part which is now in a V shape, put your left thumb half an inch from the right end of the tie, and fold the right end behind your left thumb.6. You can now release. Tie is now in some sort of triangle shape.I hope this helped. Maybe I'll upload a video another later...

I fell in love with the pony-o over a year ago. However the fact that they’re not on amazon and wear out rather quickly has me frustrated. I have been looking for an alternative for a while and personally I find this to work every bit as good. It is a little ticker and still does wear out like the pony-o but overall for the price and the prime shipping you can’t beat it!

I thought this product would be like a pony-o but it fell out of my hair constantly. I would not recommend.

These were supposed to be similar to the Pony O style that clamps onto your hair and then each end is bent backwards to create a high ponytail and not damage your hair or fall out, etc. These are not that style, they're just regular (but really thick) hair bands. I'm keeping them because they're still handy, but they're not what I thought I was ordering.

All these negative reviews make me laugh.This thing is solid. I wore it all day, and slept with it in, and it still hasn't moved. I didn't fix it or adjust it once.You have to fold it right to get it to stay put. If you have even kind of thick hair, this won't work for you. It is only for people with thin or fine hair. You will need a bigger one if you have thick hair because it won't fold right. I have a lot of fine hair and it holds just fine.I had a pony o and it broke within a few months of use (metal snapped). So, if I can get a few months of use out of this at half the price it will be worth it. I think this actually holds better than pony o, that one fell out a lot.Edit, the metal just snapped, so I'd say you'd get about 3 months out of it with occasional useage (few times a week)

Works like magic! I have very thin, fine hair. To tighten it around your ponytail, you have to flatten and then curve it into a “U” shape Anyone who says it doesn’t work, isn’t using it right.

This isn’t nearly as bad as several reviews state. You have to know how to bend it and get it tight in your hair. Compared to the real Pony-O, this feels a little thinner, and it’s a little harder to bend. It doesn’t hold my (fine, thin) hair quite as tight. But it still works, and I’ll use it a lot.

This rep Doesn't work at all. So bought the official one which works fine.

12$ for 1 tie. Looking at the photo and based on the price, I thought I was getting 3 ties. My bad, it stated so deep in the description.Tie is not worth the money. Holds my hair, but I don’t feel like it’s secure and I will be fumbling around with it.
