Golden Boba Bubble Tea Tapioca Pearl Ready in 5 Minutes

I am a Boba Tea nut. I love exploring new Boba flavors and such. As a result I found out there are so many types of Boba pearls! This one is very mild and sweet. Good for clear flavored Boba drinks. Add as much sugar, agave or honey as you like to customize the sweetness.

They do not turn golden. Pretty much, what you see is what you get. They do have a jelly-look to them after cooking though. Although the taste is slightly better than 'black sugar boba', I bought these far overpriced.

I’m a big fan of boba tea, but it’s so expensive to buy it at a restaurant. So now I make it at home with both boba popping beads and these golden tapioca pearls. I’m also finding that I don’t want to drink any hot herbal tea now either unless I have boba pearls in it. So spoiled! I can’t live without it, lol!

As a boba-lover on a budget, I started making my own. The regular black pearls are good, but I think I will be transitioning to the golden from here on out. I feel like they absorb the flavor of the honey (which I use as an alternative to sugar) much better and are actually chewier with the same amount of cook time. Will definitely purchase agian.

My son loves how chewy these are, and says they taste great. Some are a little larger than a boba straw can handle but, he says it's fun to fight the straw.
