Cory Potter is THE BOSS!!
I knew that as soon as we were introduced to Cory's character that he would turn out to be one of my favorite men in this series.. And DAMN do I love him so much!Cory is a professional baseball player, and one of the best ones in the league, and all of a sudden he is being traded to his most hated team in the middle of the season. His new teammates don't like him, the fans boo him, and the media is constantly hounding and spreading malicious lies about him and his character. He's putting on a brave face, but all of this is starting to get to him.. And then he meets the light in his now dark world.Natalie -- Jason's sister -- is a newly divorced thanks to philandering ass of a ex husband, and thanks to the cruel remarks he made excusing his infidelity, she's riddled with insecurities. When she first meets Cory she immediately likes him, but feels that she is completely out of his league .. But the more time they spend together, the more she realizes how truly right they are for one another. Their relationship is pure, beautiful, sexy, and everything else you can think of. They fall in love with each other very quickly, but it never felt rushed or forced. It was just so magical between them.. until the stress of Cory's career has him making the biggest mistake of his life.My heart broke for both him and Natalie, and even though I understood him to a point, I hated how long he waited to make things right. But in the end he realized just how much Natalie was the only constant, good thing in his life, and is determined to never again make her question his love for her.Natalie is such an amazing character. She's beautiful (but doesn't know it) is down to earth, hilarious, awkward, so adorable.. And just is so true to who she is. I cried along with her when she felt insecure, because it was so damn real. I'm so, so happy that her and Cory got their happy ever after!!! I so hope we get Maddox's book, too! I'm not ready to leave this series!Meghan is definitely one of my favorite authors, and this is a must read series!! Go one click now!

Baseball Romance that will leave you hating the Gossip Reporters and loving the main characters
Cory Potter is one of the best players in major league baseball. When he got traded mid-season from his long time team to one of the teams in Chicago, he struggled to find his place. The press and the fans went out of their way to make his life miserable. But he still soldiered on, working out and hitting the ball better than anyone else.He met his teammate Jason's sister Natalie at a fundraiser. He wasn't interested in a relationship before, because his focus was all on the game - but now his focus was on Natalie. When he heard she was married, it was a blow to his heart because he'd finally met the beautiful, intelligent, and kind woman who he thought might be "the one".Natalie is recovering from her divorce from the only man she's ever been with. She and her friends think she needs to fling it up for a while since she'd been in that relationship since her mid teens. When she and Cory somehow wind up sharing a room at a family & friends vacation shortly before spring training starts, Cory first discovers her single status and then learns that she's not planning to jump into a new relationship - so he tries to put the brakes on his attraction to her. This is another cute story from author Meghan Quinn. There's attraction and learning about each other - and these two main characters are just good people who deserve a happily ever after. But there are bumps in the road, almost all from the way Cory gets treated by the Rebel fans and the press. That's the biggest unlikely part of the story but for the sake of fiction friction, I'll allow it (ha)I always enjoy MQs books.

The Trade
An emotional roller coaster read. I enjoyed the story and its cast of characters. The love story was funny and sweet with a bit of a tear jerking bent.

Pretty good read, can’t lie. Maybe the trade was good for him yeah??
Okay, so I had this book on my TBR list to read I’m glad I got to read it. Also, it’s another book I think it was “The Line Up” since I saw it floating around last year! But anyway, I liked this book. The sad thing was all that crap Cory was going through I felt so bad for him. Especially when he got sick and on top of all the crap the media and the Rebel fans put him through!I didn’t blame him on the break up with him and Natalie. Since he wanted a BREAK, whereas she told him they might as well BREAK UP for Good! She did that because she was upset, which I understood because he asked her for a break!Though, he told her to stay in the hotel room. I mean, she didn’t listen. & all that crap that happened made him snap and said things that he didn’t mean. It took them seven months to get back together. Which I think was well needed, because it’s a lot of things that Cory needed to work out with himself.I think Natalie didn’t understand, even when he came to her and ask for forgiveness at her brother Jason's fundraiser. She pretended like she didn’t understand or didn’t hear him. But she did since she responded to him. & ended up getting him upset and walking away again. Only for her dumb self realize what JUST happened once he walked away when the guy Nicholas walked up to them.I kind of thought Natalie didn’t understand what Cory went through; he was losing hair and everything. It took him to faint in the locker room to text her brother with worry about what was going on with Cory. For her to come around, which I was glad for. Since I could tell, she cared about him though she was in denial.Though; that’s what I thought he was doing holding his feelings in when he saw her at the dugout. But I was glad in the end that they worked things out, and he finally got those horrible fans to approve by stating.“They can take the bat I just used to hit this team to victory and shove it right up their asses.”It took him to say that and putting up his middle fingers to get approval all smh 🤦🏽♀️ though some still can be mean to him. Also, I cracked up when he learned the reason behind the name boss. They told him a different story; up until they told him about getting Natalie back. The whole time it was about how BIG he was packing.Besides that, I can’t wait to read Jason and Dottie's story because lord, he had me cracking up because he’s ridiculous. & the crazy thing is that was the first book I put on my TBR list for this series that I wanted to READ but forgot!!!!

Nope
I didn’t like this story. First, it was too slow then we went fast but come on, how do you forgive that so easily especially after that long? Nope. I’m not convinced, not one bit.

Good read
A classical story of Meghan Quinn. Stunning couple, full of funny and cute moments and that break up that we already wait for ( and I particularly hate..) and that is it, this is the reason for four stars. The book is unique but also predictable.

Disappointing
This was my 4 books by this author, every one is written after the same pattern, the first 60-70% ist getting to know each other, than fooling around, lot's of talk about sex followed by different reasons why the hero doesn't want to sleep with the heroine despite being very much in love whit her. Then they finally give in to each other followed by a big break up for different reasons, followed by month or years of separation with big heartbreak followed by getting back together, fast forgiveness, I have always loved you, HEA. The end. Next book rinse and repeat, copy and paste. This one was especially frustrating. The sad part is that this author is really talented with lovely characters and a good sense of humour, but to read the same story over and over again is really annoying.
