pretty but not very fun
I have always wanted to try ribbon embroidery and I was attracted to this kit for all the beautiful detail and the fact that there was a video here that quite thoroughly covered the entire project. Now that it’s finished, I am happy with the way it turned out; however, I can’t say I totally enjoyed doing it. Nothing prepared me for the amount of force it would take to pull the needles & ribbon through the canvas. By the time I got to the largest ribbon I resorted to using jewelry pliers. Even in the video you can see the maker struggling to tug some of those ribbons through. Is this how it’s supposed to work? Or is it a matter of materials? It wasn’t exactly “relaxing” in any case.Again, the result is quite lovely and the video was helpful - although this did take me way more than an hour (although less time than some traditional embroidery projects.) The kit comes with everything you need and I didn’t run out of any materials. If this is the kind of thing you like to do, I think this is one of the more beautiful projects out there - but it has its challenges.

Be careful read full descriptions and then read again!
I was so very disappointed more so disheartened with this kit. I have done silk ribbon embroidery in the past and found it relaxing and rewarding. I found it a bit challenging too, having to twist and trick the ribbon. This kit, however, was more madding for one the ribbon was polyester satin NOT SILK! The instructions were in a language I did not speak and although I could have embroideried the kit by the photo and graph alone I just tucked it away unstarted... unfinished. I give this kit a low rating. When I was shopping on line I ask to see silk ribbon embroidery kits. I did not follow though to see that the kit contained SILK ribbon this one simply stated embroidery ribbon....beware.

Pretty and easy
This was my first attempt at ribbon embroidery and I was impressed with the directions and ease. I found a new type of embroidery and will be trying many more I. The future.

confusing and unclear instructions
I am hoping to be able to watch a you tube video to help me learn to embroider with ribbon since the instructions in this kit were not helpful at all.

Nicest kit I've ever purchased
This is a great kit. It also came with clear instructions and everything you need to finish the project. The ribbons and yarn were already separated, a great touch.

Awesome and easy to do
Super fun foe a first project. There is a video at the bottom of the page that shows you how to do all of it. It takes anBout an hour to do. So cute when it’s done and so quick to do. Good for beginner.
