The difference between this and the Vallejo Game Color gold is significant. It doesn't gum up, and it flows really well off the brush. It says to only thin it with alcohol. Listen to this because it's correct. I rinse the brush in a little tub of alcohol instead of my usual water cup, and that seems to really prolong it's useful life on my pallet.

Pros: good quality paint with a shiny metallic finish.Cons: oil based means appropriate clean up products; need constant stirring to keep metallic specs suspended in the paint medium. Neither are deal breakers.

This is probably the best most 'realistic' gold metallic paint there is for miniatures. It is an alcohol based paint, so thats worth keeping in mind if you're used to working with acrylics. I would also not recommend using this with your good brushes as it will chew through them.That being said, in terms of a metallic gold finish for your wargaming/tabletop miniatures, this is one of the best and brightest out there.

This is a fantastic gold for doing miniatures. One coat is like 3 coats of P3 or Citadel gold. Goes on very smooth. *****Make sure you read the directions and only thin with isopropyl alcohol, Water will ruin the paint. Use a synthetic brush as this is a alcohol based paint and could wreck your brush.****

This paint takes more work, but it gives back ten-fold. Other gold paints are kinda yellowish brown and glossy to look gold, this paint actually will behave like gold with how light hits it and the sheen.What you need to know is:1. Use cheap synthetic brushes,2. Use Isopropyl Alcohol to clean and thin,3. Don't paint from the bottle, put some onto a cheap pallet.This is because it will wreck brushes, water will make it rust, and it will dry up if you leave the bottle open.

This is a great paint it covers in one coat and has no brush strokes. It had a nice real metallic gold finish.
