Potentially a great mop, but hampered by absence of instructions
I don’t do a lot of mopping; my wife is usually disappointed with the results, and prefers to do it herself, so over to her …“I had never used this type of mop and spinner before, and I was really looking forward to trying it. It comes with no instructions, so I had to use my common sense to assemble the mop. I finally figured out how to attach the mop head to the pole - brute force is the answer, and you have to make sure all the mop is inside the plastic base, otherwise it won't snap shut. Afterwards I could not get it off, which was a pain as I really wanted to wash the head; without my husband using all his strength (ha ha) I would have had to wash it in the sink with the pole attached.Another problem (accidental or deliberate?) is that the mop head does not always stay flat; often it goes askew, so you have to lean over it and press it on the raised side so that it goes flat. This means that you cannot spin it, as it doesn't work unless it is totally flat, so it needs to be straightened out before spinning. Some people may need to go at a slant, but I don't have to in my kitchen, so this is pain too. Maybe an instruction leaflet would have avoided all these problems. When I used the spinner part, it performed really well, but it was difficult to get the mop reasonably dry, however many times I spun it in the draining part of the bucket. This meant the floor got very wet indeed, which is a bit of bind if you need to use the room again in under an hour, and I hadn’t overfilled the bucket at all.It is handy to have the little hole on the side to empty out the water; I just tipped the bucket straight into the sink, but if your sink is smaller the hole lets you empty it slowly somewhere convenient. If I knew how to use it properly, it would be a lovely mop, especially as it comes with two heads, but the issues deter me from trying it again.”

Messy and awkward to use
For a mop and bucket set, this product comes in a very nice OurHouse box complete with handle on top. It looks quite swish and would make a nice gift (or maybe not). Once out of the box, the whole thing is quite easy to put together, although the lack of any instructions meant I puzzled over attaching the mop head to the handle for a minute or two.Once assembled, the whole thing works OK but is a long way short of oustanding. The mop head gets quite heavy when soaked and the cotton strands clump together a lot, meaning the head is not always nicely splayed out when flat on the floor, so you end up shaking it up and down quite a lot. The spinner feature in the bucket is pretty hopeless, the mop head doesn't fit very well and when you spin it around to shake off water, a lot of it doesn't end up in the bucket but on the floor itself. With a bit of practice you can make this better but it makes the already dull job of cleaning the floors take even longer, so not much of a step forward. The bucket also has a handy stopper near the bottom, so you can empty it without tipping the bucket as you would do normally. At first I thought this was a nice little feature but it takes ages for a full bucket to empty and I just tip the thing into the sink as usual instead.Everything feels a little flimsy, apart from the mop handle. The plastic inside the bucket is sharp in places and none of it feels substantial enough to last a long time. At £18 the whole set isn't tremendous value for what you get. I have had good buckets for £3-4 with a Vileda mop and extra heads for similar money in total. The whole thing is decent but not really worth the money.

nice compact size
OurHouse SR22018 360 Degree Spin Mop and Bucket, Adjustable Handle, Grey is a good quality spin mop and bucket set which I consider to be of good quality. There were no instructions included with the duo, I did find the actual putting together of the mop easy and straightforward. I did find the main mop head easy to attach but for me to spin it properly I needed the main holder of the mop to be at an angle of 180 degrees. As the shaft had to be positioned straight up, but this was soon sorted using a bit of strength. There are two plastic holders which prevented me from making sure the main mop head was held at the correct position. The actual spinner works well and makes sure there is no excess water held within the mop which helped prevent me from soaking the floor too much. The mop head is broad and flat, and to place each strand of the mop into the spinner did take a bit of direction from me to make sure there were no stray strands.I liked the compact size of the main bucket which made it easy for me to fill the actual bucket with water from our kitchen sink, also it makes it easier to store in a small corner.I do consider this mop and bucket a good quality cleaning tool, there is a couple of minor flaws which can easily be sorted out with a bit of persistence.Happy to recommend.
