A wood katana made of a rare Macassar ebony that is 40-1/2 inches long. The 10 1/2" handle has an oval cross-section just like the real katana. Long blade section is 30 inches. It has a rounded thick edge and tapers from the ridgeline towards the top. The weight is heavier than most hardwood and slightly lighter than most real katana. The balance is excellent. Excellent choice for suburi or individual training. Wood comes in different shades from very dark brown to lighter color with streaks.
