I bought this wallet to replace my vegan, faux-leather bifold that had begun to fray and tear after only a few months of use. For the price, this wallet is a decent alternative to more expensive leather and synthetic versions, however there are several striking design flaws which, if corrected, would significantly improve the quality of this product.Pros- Durability. I have only been using this wallet for ~6 months but the stitching is immaculate and the surface looks brand new. The wallet has gotten damp several times (and, on one occasion, soaked) but the nylon dried quickly, the appearance did not change and it retained full functionality. (Do note that while the wallet is resilient to water, it is not designed to be waterproof, so any liquid that seeps inside the zipper will effect whatever is inside the bill pocket.)- The zipper. It seems to be weirdly taboo for "minimalist" and "utilitarian" wallets to include zippered pockets but luckily Rainbow of California didn't jump on that bandwagon. (I would personally much rather have a slightly bulkier wallet than be constantly trying to fish out bills / loose change in the bottoms of my pockets after they slipped out from between the folds.) The velcro seal is convenient, sturdy and much more reliable than a snap clip.- Price. I would gladly recommend this wallet to anyone looking for a relatively simple, inexpensive product that won't fall apart in 5 minutes. Compared to my previous wallet, which is sold by a vegan brand specializing in synthetic products that look and feel like real leather, cost more than 3x as much and died relatively quickly.Cons- The nylon interior is wicked slippery, which causes my plastic cards to slide out of the interior pockets when the wallet is turned upside-down. I am constantly losing my ID, credit and debit cards in my jacket pockets and have spilled the lot on the ground more than once. This design flaw is enhanced by the fact that the inside pockets are massive and were clearly not designed with the intention to provide a snug fit for a standard credit card. While the wallet does come with a plastic insert intended to provide extra card storage, I have run into the same oversizing issue when using these sleeves. Additionally, the plastic seams are quite delicate and tear easily when removing / inserting cards, while the entire insert itself can be easily (and unintentionally) removed from the interior of the wallet.- Besides being unnecessarily wide, the card pockets are also much too thick and numerous. The compartment that separates the zippered bill-pouch from the card pockets (which is perhaps intended for change?) adds redundant bulk to an already chunky wallet. I am going to go ahead and assume that I am not an outlier here and most people do not tend to carry 100+ cards with them on the daily, but seriously. This thing is MASSIVE. All things considered, the wallet's overall design seems ill-considered and leaves something to be desired.While cost-effective and generally decent, this product would be greatly improved if the outstanding design flaws were corrected. I would like to see the pocket width / capacity significantly reduced and the inside replaced by a material with better grip, as well as the plastic card sleeves either restructured or completely eliminated.

I bought several other wallets trying to find one just like the one I used to have, none of them came close until this one! The ones I've had in the past were nylon but more like how fanny packs are, not cheap nylon that look more like they are for kids, this one is nylon but it's not cheap looking at all, it's perfect!! This wallet is extremely well made! There is a lot of room for cards, photos, money, etc. I couldn't see it in the photo and was happily surprised when I opened my new wallet to see it not only has a section for bills, it also has a zipper section for your bills! If you carry more money than I do :) you have a place to "hide" your larger bills. It also comes with a plastic insert for photos which is a lot better than most wallets have, I even had to look for more photos because my previous wallet didn't have as much room as this one does!I contacted the seller after wasting a lot of money on other wallets to make sure this was what I was looking for, the seller is extremely nice, answering all my questions and told me if I didn't like my wallet, I could return it no problem so, I gave it a try and I am VERY glad I did, it's prefect! If you're looking for a wallet that has a lot of room for cards, photos, money, etc., and very, very well made, give this one a try, you will not be disappointed! When/if the one I bought ever wears out, I will buy another one, I'm very happy with my wallet and the best thing, it's made in the USA!!

I've been using rainbow wallets for 40 years. I like how there's no seam at one end. They typically last me 8 years.

I have been using a leather bi-fold wallet for many years but like the heavier thread nylon style with Velcro and zipper closure methods. I do wish there was a Velcro strap to capture my credit/debit cards in their pockets and the pocket between the zippered pocket and the pockets for cards and the picture widows would be more secure if it was attached (permanently sewed or Velcro) on the left end vertical flap and had a couple of short Velcro attachment points across the horizontal top flap. I like the vinyl widow packet in that it has a stiffer vinyl section going both ways under both pockets to retain it instead of a thin piece sliding under just one direction like my old wallet. The old one used to fall out easier and it tore relatively easy. Although I just got this product I have both Engineering and Materials Science degrees and it is my "professional opinion" if you could call it that as I never studied wallet design, is that this construction will last much longer and not fall out easily. Short answer, "Good materials and construction but would be willing to pay additional for the mods mentioned above. Would definitely buy it again". Best of all it's made in the U.S.A..

Nice construction as well as a nice large bill compartment. Unfortunately this wallet has very large card pockets which may allow your credit cards to fall out easily as it is not a snug fit. There is around a 1/2 inch gap between the width of the card and the pocket wall. I would consider that a design flaw and for that I would have given it a 1 star. However, I contacted the manufacturer and they offered to give me any wallet I wanted in exchange even though I didn't purchase through them. So for quality and customer service I give them 5 stars. Nice quality product but did not work for my needs.Update: I ended up keeping the wallet and the cards have only fallen out once. So far it is a very functional wallet and I will probably purchase again if I buy online again. I added another star to my original review.
