I basically read this short story in one sitting as it's short and easy to read. I found the writing to be great and well done. Often times I'm not very fond of novellas as I want more "time" to get to know the characters and the storyline in order to be able to relate to the story but in the case of this novella, I think it's the perfect length for the story the author was trying to tell. I can't wait to read the next installment in this series.

Dominic's drug deal in the bar where Serena works goes bad. They hide out at her apartment for a while, until it's not safe to be there either. It's insta-love for him, but he can't tell her that he's not a drug dealer. She feels like she can trust him anyway. This is a short sweet read, with a good amount of heat. I read the rest of the series from ARC copies, but missed this one somehow, but I purchased it recently so I could complete the series.

I really enjoyed this 56-page love story. The H and h were likable, the intimacy was hot, and it was all wrapped up in a sweet epilogue.I highly recommend.

Steamy right from the first page, with characters who made me care about them and pulse-pounding action! A riveting read. I'm anxious for more.

I don't know about you but I am often looking for a short good read, and romantic suspense is my favorite genre. This book s about a Vice Detective named Dominic who meets a beautiful bartender named Serena while undercover. He can't tell her that he is part of a sting to catch drug dealers but she falls in love with him anyway, trusting that he has secrets he can't tell her yet. There are great sex scenes and shootouts, so there is romance and adventure. I absolutely LOVED this book. I will not give the synopsis since you can read the blurb and others give more detail but I definitely recommend!The chemistry, sexiness, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things very interesting.I cannot wait to read more by this author. Well-written short story of action, adventure, twists and turns, danger, chemistry and love. These characters have great chemistry and even though she swore off men and he was married to his job.
