I took a risk and I am happy I did!
I wanted to wait until I’ve had this plant for a few months before I wrote a review. I took a chance with this African tulip because I live in Northern California. I do rather well with tropical plants, but this was a risky one for me. It arrived very nicely packaged. It was a small single stem with a few leaves. Look at it now!!! It has grown about eight times its size and is very happy. I put it in a pot in full sun and it loves it. It gets pretty cold here in the winter so I will probably have to bring it indoors, but I am very pleased with my purchase , I have done a lot of research and have never seen one survive in this area, so I get bragging rights. I am also able to grow Plumeria and hibiscus very nicely in my micro climate. The second picture shows how big the stem is now. The stick next to it was around the same size as the plant when I got it. This seller did a great job with the plant and the shipping. Thanks, I would purchase from this seller again!

Not my smartest purchase...
The African Tulip tree arrived in pretty poor shape. The leaves are wilted and crumbled and dark in color. There are a few brighter leaves which gives me hope. The packaging was not sufficient when transporting and African anything during an Ohio winter! While the roots were moist inside the tied bag, the tree was sitting inside a size appropriate box. There was no insulating material to help protect if from the elements. I have planted the tree in a large pot with some nutrient rich soil and placed it in a heated space with lots of natural light. I am considering using my grow light to try to help in the rejuvenating process. Time will tell...

Plant’s not looking happy.
It was delivered nicely. I put it on my patio gave it some water and not it’s all wilted. Makes me concerned about the roots.

It is real good.
I would get it again if I had room in my yard.
