Dimensions 65-32080 Feltworks Felting Mat, Star Twinkle

I needed to make a felt belt for a Kristoff costume. This mat word fine for what I needed it to, but sadly It did not hold up to the shear amount of felting I needed to do. It had to be thrown out because bristle were worn down and falling out in places. I would suggest it for small projects if you don't do it a lot, but not large intensive projects.

I love it! Just wish I had a bigger one. I’m shopping around for a bigger one now. I used it for a flat portrait piece and it works great. I would love a larger one for more work space.

Had only used a styrofoam block prior to this. What a difference! You get much better precision with this.

I definitely would not recommend this for needle felting (especially not for three dimensional pieces) for two reasons.First, It is very hard to create a firm shape. This is because, once you have to start really pressing into your piece, it will just move back and forth with the bristles instead of staying in place. I feel I might break needles on it because it is contantly forcing them to bend.Second, the bristles constantly get caught and tug on your fibers, creating a ton of fuzz. If you flip your piece over to fix this, then the other side gets fuzzy. Rinse and repeat.I truly can't understand the good reviews on this product. It is the size of a small sponge, and is less functional than even the lowest quality type of foam. I definitely regret this purchase, as it does more harm on my pieces than good, regardless of what stage I am in on them.Find foam and save your money!

Básico para el felting, este cepillo ayuda mucho para hacer figuras en 3 dimensiones porque las cerdas permiten tejer hasta el centro sin que la lana se adhiere a otra superficie y sin riesgo de pinchazos.El tamaño se me hizo un poco pequeño pero es un área suficiente para ir moldeando la figura.Los materiales se sienten resistentes. La base es de madera y las cerdas son plásticas.Está más barato que los de plástico, y que en otras tiendas especializadas en manualidades.Con Amazon Prime me llegó al siguiente día!
