The first cage that arrived was broken. The second one looks like terrible quality and it is missing the bottom grate and the perches are not the ones shown in the picture (plastic, ergonomic) but flat, cheap wooden ones.

Wish I could add more stars to this cage, it doesn't come with instructions first of all. The lid was already put together but it was bent. So over night because I didn't put my parakeet in it yet, my cat got on top and the cage part fell threw the lid. Now I'm trying to put the cage back to the lid but cant because I'm not strong enough to get it hooked on the pieces and my cat only weighs 5 pounds. That dont add up. So I'll have to put something on top incase she gets back up on it once my hubby gets home to put that part back together. But all in all it's a very nice cage. I dont like how the corners come together. You have spacers, 2 of them per corner. Then of course theres 2 doors on front to get into, but one door wont latch so I hooked it shut with a left over spacer which did work, I'll be using the other door. I just didnt want to go threw the trouble of sending this back and worrying if the next one would be worse or the plastic on the bottom would be cracked. Oh and the perches are goofy. Instead of them being round the one side is completely opened. There are plenty of pluses it will be easy to clean. Love the feeding cups with kids, the way they sit on outside easy to get to. And I'll be able to watch babies if she has any.

I was able to put this together in about 15 minutes, and it is the most intelligently designed bird cage I have found. The water and food dishes are designed to easily change and to prevent the soiling in their water that birds tend to do, or the scattering of seed shells. The bottom prevents the mess as well. I do wish there was a way to pull the bottom out without the risk of my birds flying out, like if the grate stayed in place while the lower tray was removed, but I know some peoples birds are better behaved and this will not be an issue.

I love the design! No messy birdseed everywhere! BUT the food and water doors broke at the hinges…..plastic. I was able to glue one side but can’t the other. If I can’t close and latch the doors it is of no use to me! I saw the new design and it has food cups attached to the bars which means the seed will go flying all over again. You have a great original design! Just improve the material used to make it!
