I grabbed this pack of oysters for my kids to open. It was fun to get them opened up and see the surprise on their faces with every different color pearl. Most of them were a little bit weird shaped but I didn't expect them to be perfectly round, especially for the price. We got some really awesome colors and it was fun to do together.

I bought these both for my 5 year old daughter and for my 3 year old niece.They love opening the oysters to see what color pearl they are going to get! Definitely a fun activity! Would highly recommend.Just keep in mind they are really made for kids to have fun with!

Bought these for my grad daughter for Christmas (she is 6) she loved opening them and seeing all the different color pearls.

I had seen a few of those pearl unveiling online videos where you can watch your pearl you purchase be opened. I was excited to see that they have these similar to those available to the public at a much better price so I was excited to try. I have a 7 year old and I really thought that she would like to be part of this process as well and I sure was right! When these arrived they came individually vacuum sealed in plastic. The instructions say to pull it apart to open but I found that too hard so I just used scissors to open the plastic. The freshwater pearls that I received varied in size but most were that of about a 50 cent piece, or maybe even a tad larger. You are supposed to use a knife to open them up but I found most were very loose and almost looked like they had been opened maybe a bit before already. They were obviously not alive still though they were still wet. Some of the shells were so thin and brittle that they cracked instead of being "opened". That aside I was able to open them all and got an array of different colors, one from each just as promised. Yellow, orangish, gold, green, light and dark blue, light and dark purple, green, pink and a maroon color. I was very surprised at how bright each color was, and didn't know pearls even came that color. However I did notice that inside each of the oyster there were traces of color in the animal flesh so I assume that they inject it with some kind of ink in order to get these colors? Cool yet sad as well. I am not sure either but these seem to be clams more so than oysters? I was surprised by the shape of them as well as I thought that they would be round but most were oval kind of like the shape of an egg, most with ripples in them as well. Overall it was pretty cool though and me and my daughter enjoyed seeing what each one would bring as we opened them. I also purchased us each a necklace with a locket that allows us to put our pearls in it and wear them so I am excited to get that as well!

The colors are nice and vibrant, the girls had fun opening the clams, but were disappointed because the pearls had lines across the centers making them look really fake.

The perfect gift for my sister and her brides maids for her beach themed wedding! Everyone absolutely loved it!!

These were for my sons classroom. Something fun for them to do and learn about. these pebbles or whatever you want to call them look plastic the colors are chipping off they weren't even buried inside the clam they were just tossed inside the shell and vacuum shut. I've never been so disappointed in something and I've never had to give a bad review from Amazon until now. I'm sorry to say it's a waste of money it might be fun for a preschool age child but these are nowhere realistic or a good experience for anybody with a brain.

So much fun for the kids. each one was a different color and they were easy to open...a little stinky but that's expected I guess lol
