CONAIRPerfect Pony 4 Piece Kit

My hair has gotten much thinner and I thought I would try the Perfect Pony to see if it would help. It sure does! My ponytail looks much fuller with it. It is not difficult to use once you get the hang of it. It is made of silicone, but is not very bendy. So, if you need to lie your head against something it would not be very comfortable unless it is really high on your head. That is the only downside to it. At least it is not made of hard material like others that could hurt your head. Otherwise, it works great!

Wish I had found this many, many years ago! The name says it all - Perfect Pony! I have long fine hair - lots of it, but when I put it in a ponytail, it looks thin. For this first time in my life I now have a really great looking ponytail! Love, love, love! I receive many compliments. It doesn't ever slip, is comfortable (can't tell it's there) and does not show. GREAT product.

I really love this tool - it works really well with my thin, straight hair. I received many envious comments from others about my thick, full hair, with a couple people even asking me what shampoo and conditioner I use. Little do they know... I'm only docking a star because the hair ties it comes with really don't work well. 2 out of the 3 ties it came with snapped straight away the first two times I used them. I didn't even pull that hard, and the first still broke. My advice is just to be careful and bring extra ties with you in case you find your hair snapping free midday during an important work meeting. I was lucky I had a spare on my wrist that day.

I am SOOOO happy with this product!! It looked like one of the silliest things to buy, and now it's instantly one of my most prized possessions.I have a lot of hair. It's fine in texture, but it is thick, long and abundant -- it's pretty heavy. I also have the world's most sensitive scalp. I've always wanted to have a cute ponytail that doesn't hurt...and this product actually makes that a reality! I'm so impressed. So far, no matter how I move my ponytail around, it isn't showing through either. I'm finally satisfied with how my ponytail looks as well. I think the pressure taken off of the ponytail is such a relief though! Total win-win.There are some helpful Youtube videos out there. It was super easy for me. Just gathered my hair like I'm about to put it half up, stuck the Perfect Pony in under the half up portion, (tube part pointing downward) and then gathered the rest of my loose hair up with the rest of the ponytail and Perfect Pony, same motion as making a regular ponytail and then tied the hair tie around like normal, and voila! Done!

Warning: This product is not for thick hair. My hair is so thick that my pony tail sags way down under its own weight, and I thought this product might give it some lift. The problem was that it created a pony tail so ridiculously thick that my super-duper extra-strength elastic snapped when I tried to wrap it around only twice! However, I will say that getting the thing in my hair in the first place was not as much trouble as I anticipated. It's made out of a kind of sticky rubber that grips your hair pretty well and holds it in place. It will be awkward at first, and will take some getting used to, but if you have the sort of baby-fine hair that I envy, this product might work well for you.

I have extremely thick hair and I thought that this would get covered up easily, but it wasn't. You could see the white plastic. Also, it really didn't give my hair much lift or volume and my hair stuck to it, and pulled when I tried to take it out. Unfortunately, this product is far from "perfect."

SO big. Great concept and for gripping the ponytail it works wonders. But for thickening, it's pretty much required that you cut it in half. Otherwise you end up with a ponytail the thickness of a forearm! Not pretty and not realistic at all.

I love this device. Sometimes I use it alone and sometimes i use a hair extention with it. I insert the conair perfect pony from the back of the pony tail to ensure most of my hair is in front helping to cover the white silicone. I tease my own hair near the base of the pony tail that is in front of the white silicone to keep it better hidden and add extra height and volume. I take a strand of my own hair and twist it tight length wise, then I wrap all of it around the ponytail to cover the hair tie. I use a bobby pin to secure the very end. You can also tuck the end back into your hair tie, but w the device in there my hair tie is usually stretched to the max. Last I roll up the hair extention ponytail wrap and from the back of my pony tail push it into the hollow portion of the conair perfect pony, the silicone grips it and keeps it in place creating the most full amazing Power Pony Ive ever seen. I get compliments every time I wear this combo. The blonde from the extention peeks out and just looks like I have a chunk of hair somewhere thats bleached lighter. I did have to trim the extention to match my hair length the first time I wore it. I dont have thin hair, I just want an enormous Ariana Grande level pony tail. If you do have thin hair, I highly suggest this combo.  The perfect pony also takes all the pressure from the actual hair tie, which alleviates the pressure from my head and scalp. Amazing.
