This gravel is such a great color. It's much more of a golden brown than the photo shown here. The gravel is mixed with small shells and rocks which add such a beautiful contrast to normal gravel. This is perfect for cichlids or other tropical fish. Its a great price without having to go to the pet store and pay much more.

Good price for a 20 lb bag. The fish love it. Looks very nice. It's a little lighter color in the picture. Like that it natural. No color added.

THIS STUFF DOES WHAT IT CLAIMS!!Set up this Cichlid tank 1 year ago & my fish are THRIVING!!! My Convicts have had babies & my Pariot fish are growing in leaps & bounds!!! This is a 40 gal. tank with a 10 gal. Bio-filter... I just order their 50 gal. Bio tank & 3 more bags of this gravel!!!

This substrate is wonderful. My cichlids are very happy with it, moving things here and there. And little ones who come to the house are intrigued by the tiny shells in the mix. Great substrate, great price.

Do not buy if you want natural black stone. Black stones are coated with black color. Not natural black. A large number of large size stones are in substrate. I did first sifting with ¼ mesh screen. Tried to break the large ones up with steel plate. They are not black stones but gray to white coated with black color. Turns into grey mess. Very disappointed opened two bags. Large number of stones are over 7/16 inch in size. Coated stone mixed with crushed shell. $40 worth of junk.

looks great in my tank...but does NOT have any little tiny shells!! It only has small crumbles of broken up shells. :(
