I've always enjoyed hosting hotpot and Korean BBQ dinners for friends but always wanted to be able to combine them because everyone has a preference for one or the other. I've been doing lots of research and finally settled on this one because of the removable cooking surface, it makes cleaning so much easier! The only downside I've seen so far is the temperature dial is a bit fidgety, it turns off intermittently. I think it might have some kind of thermostat setting so it doesn't get too hot but I'm not sure yet. One other drawback is that the grill can splatter if broth from the soup hits the hot grease. It can get a bit messy if you're not careful when grabbing food out of the hotpot section.

I've used a few time now.What I like: Large, both the grill and pots heat up rapidly (30 seconds to burning), plenty of room. Easy to set up.What I don't like: Hard to clean because of curve in divided pot-- it's aesthetically pleasing, but a straight line would have been far more practical. Also, the hole for the oil is tricky to get oil out of. The cord is a bit annoying in the way it is placed.

The hot pot sections are a little too shallow for us. We are used to a more traditional hot pot. We loved being able to grill at the same time. Surprisingly, this was very easy to clean.

I bought this for my husband for his Birthday, he loves making hot pots. We have used this for several get-togethers and it works great. Having the double basin is great for making spicy and nonspicy hot pot. I would purchase this again and again.

The process showed up in a beat up box and the product was broken so gave it back to driver, was returned back to me the next day same way.

I dont know about the other comments about the grill not heating but we had a blast.1. The heating works. The hotpot was boiling so you just have to manage and adjust the heat but it cooked all our meat within the soup.2. The grill works. We put some butter on it while it was heatin and a bit of minced garlic and pork and vioala cooked meat. Just adjust the grill too so it cooks well and do tilt it at a diagonal level. That was our mistake cuz then the fat and oils of the meat are kept within the side where we grilled. It should have gone to the oil pocket that was available if it was tilted.3. It is smokeless in a sense that it will not and should not trigger the smoke alarm. We live in an apartment, we were grilling in the dinning room near the fire alarm and it was not triggered.4. It didnt really leave any weird smokey grilled smell in the dinning/living room. You know the one you get on your hair when ur eating at a grill place like a korean bbq place and the smell sticks to your hair afterwards. So that wasnt really the case for us. We grilled the same pork beef stuff you have and had hotpot and that was it.5. It is big 3 of us ate and i could say it should be good for 4 people.I recommend you buy this one. Got it no defects works great and get that family bonding time like we did!

Pros: The concept is great and the pot is working.Cons: There's no way to control the temperature of the hotpot, it's just either on or off. The temperature control nobs are useless.The hotpot part is small, not enough room for a lot of broths.The whole pot with grill is too bulky, makes it hard to clean in the sink. We had to clean it outside in the yard.Had to return this due to loud popping noise, didn't want to risk our safety for a hotpot meal. Beware....
