Ordered this replacement coil for a Mercruiser 3.0 TKS. Initial inspection it looked correct but when trying to mount it the first problem was the pre-drilled holes were too small for the bolts that pass through the OEM coil bracket. Second problem was the holes didn't line up with the block mounting points and third once it's mounted, the extra width on the bracket almost completely covered the spark plug wire boot for #2 cylinder making it impossible to remove the wire without some creative use of needle-nose pliers.Gave it two stars only because it worked; far too much additional fabrication required for a bolt-on part like this.

Like a previous review, the mounting holes on my bracket didn't match a 4.3 GL so I had to drill them out a little. She started right up.. Time will tell as far as quality.

I bought this coil from this company because of its reviews, but the coil I received was very poor quality and even worse the mounting bracket was loose and mounted backwards, so when I went to return they charge return shipping. So buyers beware of this company.

The mounting bracket is larger than the original and the bolt holes are too small for the bold on a 3.0L Mercruiser engine. It took a hit of machining with a drill press to make it fit. Once on, it worked as expected.
