Where do I start? Do not buy this for the included bulbs. I would not trust the information that they provide heat. Firstly, I can touch the bulb without fear of burning myself. The bulbs look like halogen bulbs used in bathrooms or spot lights. However, those bulbs generate a lot of heat. These dont! To be fair, it comes supplied with 25w bulbs but there is no option for a bigger wattage. So, do they produce uva/b? Well the science says yes. So now I am left trawling Amazon for a bulb that will fit the lamp holder (which is great btw, and sturdy) and will actually produce heat for my yellow belly slider whilst providing uva/b.

Excellent!! I bought it for my turtles, I put some felt pads on the clamp to protect the glass. The lamp is very strong and smart to look at, it's giving off light and heat. The turtles love it, she's never been off the basking rock. Problem is that at 10 "/11" her mate isn't getting a look in!! I may have to buy another one and set him up one for his self, poor 6" little fella!!I ordered it at lunch time and I was fitting it the following morning!! What can I say, I have had the perfect customer experience. 2 bulbs and a lamp for £20.99, that's a bargain, Thanx

The bulbs supplied with this lamp do not produce enough heat for this product to be classified as a ‘heat lamp’.I have to position the lamp 3 inches from the basking area for the area to feel any warmth at all - and that is still not that warm.You will need to replace the bulbs with stronger ones if you want your pet to feel any heat from the lamp.

Bought this a few weeks ago and my two two year old turtles love it. Good value and it looks nicer than the full on industrial looking dome lamps or the cheap alternatives out there. I was weary of the negative reviews before buying but so far so good.

This is a nice light that clips onto the side of the tortoise tray and and works well. It's only small, so a large enclosure might need more than one. For us it's perfect. (If you plug it in but nothing happens, you haven't noticed the little on/off switch underneath!)

I'm impressed on the sleek style of this lamp... does the job without over shading the tank like other lights, Plus comes with a spare bulb too bonus! Would recommend.

Very pleased with this lamp, I have read some bad reviews and thought I would take a chance with it, this particular lamp is perfect for my indoor birds who need at least two hours of sunlight a day, nice and warm, clips onto whatever you want, recommended product plus a spare bulb. 5 stars ⭐️

Ordered two of these, if you want it dimmable as shown in the product description then don’t order these as the ones I received only have an on/off switch. Definitely not the same as the photos depict.
