Buddhist Camphorwood Wooden Fish Temple Block Zen Drum with Mat 4 inch

It gives very beautiful sound as very bigger one from temple.

The mokugyo is small and about the same width as the mat. It sounds as expected. If you'd like a lower pitched mokugyo, choose one that has a larger drum and mat size. The finish on the handle of the mallet is of low quality. It came sticky and despite wiping it down and attempting to smooth the finish, it has not changed.

This works amazing, my mother uses it to pray every morning and it’s really worth the money. The wood and quality overall is astonishing along with the sound being produced by the instrument.

It seems like one of those generic souvenir you can buy from any asian night market. The sound does not echo, the craftsman is obviously factory made. It does the job, you hit it and it makes a sound. But it wasn't able to provide the ambience that the traditional version wooden fish provides back home.
