Klein Tools 63314 Bolt Cutter, Steel Handle, 14-Inch

This is a quality tool. Very heavy duty, glad I didn't buy a bigger size.

Was total overkill for a lil padlock (went through like snipping a zip tie). This beast will handle anything that comes my way, or my son's way, or his son's...Get one while they're still made of super tough metal. One day, it may be just the soft chinese metals on the market...

I didn't really have a use for this but if I do, no problem. Very heavy but seems like it would cut thru large locks

I tried adjusting the jaws before I used it because there was a gap when I got it.I could not adjust it but it cut good when I used them.Not sure if there worth $175.00 but we will see!

You really get what you pay for. Compare to many other on amazon, this bolt cutters are on the pricey side. But they are worth every penny. A while back I had bought a "cheap" set at Home Depot because that's all they had. After cutting a few rebars, the jaws were damaged. The rebars had deformed the cutting edge. They were made in China and were cheap... They are useless now. Anyway, I was not about to make the same mistake... I had a job coming up that would require bolt cutters. I did some research and bought these. I used them non stop for 2 hours cutting the same rebars as before. Well, this set still look new. The jaws are intact. Good quality steel.Just one thing to keep in mind... These 30 inch bolt cutters have steel handles and are heavy. Not a bad thing, just tiring... Also, they are made in the USA.

I would give it a 4.7. Amazon should change their rating system to allow us to do that. A four is an "80" grade and this is really a "90" score. Why not a 5 or 100? only because I would like to see no paint and a simply non oxidizing metal. The paint scrathes a bit to easy and it looks old after just a few months in my tool box. BUT, this puppy will even cut 1/2 rebar. I wouldnt do that every day with it, but it sure does come in handing in a pinch.Its great to have in my tool box in the bed of my truck. If only it didnt scratch up so easy. There IS a HUGE difference in quality in bolt cutters. Dont buy the chinese junk for 20 bucks. You will be replacing it in a couple years. So it just doesnt make sense to go cheap on cutters.But it and never look back.
