London College of Music Popular Music Theory Grade 2

This was a new discovery as a student asked me to teach it to them, I bought the whole set of books from grade 1 and read my way through them I think that it is a really good way of getting those students who don't enjoy classical theory in to the subject, it is good for guitarists and keyboard players too. well worth it.

This whole series of music tutorial books is excellent. Having played the guitar since dinosaurs roamed the Earth ( Now Grade Six, studying for Grade Seven), I had hit a ceiling where knowledge of theory has become unavoidable. I've tried other courses before, but for the first time, it is beginning to make sense. The books build carefully upon each other, and the test/exam questions are so useful.

Good standard and clear.

This syllabus is great, the books could be laid out in a more effective way and the language could be more accessible for a younger student but all in all a great resource.
