If you don't want the noise and overhead of a petrol mower, or the awkwardness (and risk) of trailing cables, this could be perfect. Assembly is easy, construction quality is high, and the cutting height is easily adjusted. The only fiddly bit is replacing the capacious grass box on the back, which I find usually takes a couple of goes. Cleaning is very easy, just requiring a run over the circular blade with a stiff brush. (This style of blade does mean the mower isn't suitable if you want a neatly striped lawn, by the way.)What of the battery life, though? In short - it depends. I have had 30 minutes when set to the maxiumum height for a quick cut. Once you start to cut in earnest, though, the time does decrease and I now get around 20 minutes, more than adequate for my garden. The secret is to avoid the mower labouring, so be careful to avoid setting the height too low. In fact, if too much resistance is encountered, the mower will simply stop. On a related note, frequent restarts won't help the battery life, so try to keep on mowing as long as possible rather than taking breaks or stopping to assess progress.

I took a chance with this lawn mower - it looked the part and the 36v power was appealing. However setting it up was not easy; the battery lasted my front lawn only so had to buy an additional battery, and the height settings were hopeless - 1 too short, 2 and over - too high. Today (17 Sep) whilst trying to set it up it completely fell apart. This is an utterly useless mower and I cannot return it for a refund. DO NOT BUY!

Mower is ideal for a small to medium sized garden. Very lightweight and relatively easy to manoeuvre. Battery duration is disappointing, however, this wouldn’t necessarily be an issue if only a light cut was required.

My parents and my aunt recently changed their petrol powered lawnmovers for battery operated ones, and I tried them out, and they were so light and easy to use, but over £350, which was a bit out of my budget.I had been searching for a while for a battery operated lawnmower and I came across this one, and thought I would chance it!It arrived within 2 days, easy to assemble, lightweight, battery charges faster than the more expensive ones I've used and I can cut my whole lawn on one charge and still have a little bit of battery left over.It's easy to lift and put awayFor the price I really can't fault anything with it so far, and I will definately be looking at the other products in the range

Battery life is not good. Only 15 minuet run time. Very disappointed with this product. It should come with a spare battery.

Absolutely makes cutting my grass a breeze...5 levels to choose from....excellent battery life....cord free...which for me is a big plus point! Wish I had bought one months ago....I researched many cordless mowers I found that this one was excellent value....and build quality is excellent!

Initially a great mower, easy to connect up, charge and mow the lawn quietly without cords BUT after a couple of years (and now out of warranty) the battery will not charge and I CANNOT get another battery ANYWHERE. I have contacted Blue Ridge both in USA and UK but they cannot help me. I have tried everywhere but even on eBay you cannot obtain a spare battery. Short of buying another Blue Ridge mower that does come with a battery I have to simply throw the whole lot away. I have instead invested in a cordless mower from Homebase and more than happy with it in every way. Shame I had to throw away the Blue Ridge mower.

Excellent mower. Came all assembled bar for putting top handles.on.Lightweight. and strong.easy to push.adjustable height with a lovely cut.well worth the money. Highly recommendable.
