Quality
You get what you pay for with K&N products. Have purchased several K&N air filters before and keep coming back to them. Quality and long lasting.

Best way to go
Perfect fit for our Murano. Nissan dealer wanted $43 for one that had to be replaced every year.

I went from a hoopty, to a whahoopty!
My '01 Frontier is now a high performance machine! Ok, not really. There is definitely a noticeable difference since I installed this filter though. My gas mileage and power have improved.

Debating? Buy it.
- Rough to install in my vehicle.Been using K&N filters for years, most drop in very well.+ Washable filter is so worth it.+ Hope you like never replacing the filter again.- The price is higher, but worth every penny.

2003 Nissan Altima, almost 200k miles
Buy this right now. I had a performance K&N filter set-up on my Acura, but for some reason it never occurred to me to put a K&N filter on my commuter car. It popped up as a suggestion, and I purchased it immediately. Right away I noticed snappier acceleration. At the end of my 22 mile commute my mileage had already improved .5 mpg without resetting the computer. I am floored. I am fresh out of a dyno so I don't know if my HP increased, but based on my other two observations, combined with this being a lifetime product, I am ecstatic about this filter. Now, a little story about replacing my old filter with the K&N. I thought I was just going to open the air box, yank out the old one, slap in the K&N, and then go about my day. WRONG. Big ol' thumbs down for Nissan making routine task a big undertaking. If you have an Altima you had better get out your awesome Stanley 92-839 Black Chrome and Laser Etched Socket Set, 99-Piece. Use your short 10mm and remove the intake hose from where it attaches to the box. Then you can unclip the front clips, and the lid flips up. You can unclip the sensor, but I did not. Thank goodness I do not have to do that again for another 50,000 miles.

Got an additional 1 MPG and better throttle response in my 2013 Altima 3.5S
A perfect drop-in fit for my 2013 Nissan Altima 3.5S with factory air box and intake. Throttle response was noticeably improved over clean/new factory paper filter, ESPECIALLY at lower RPM (which this engine w/ the CVT tends to prefer). You'll notice throttle response increase much more than an overall power increase. MPG climbed right around 1 full mile per gallon (hovering between .9 and 1.1 additional from my calculations at the gas pump and the in-dash display). Intake growl increased a little when really getting into the throttle, but is same as stock when you're not driving aggressively. If you have a CVT (Altima, Maxima, Murano, Pathfinder, etc.), then this seems to make sense due to the improvement in throttle response (how power applied to the wheels tracks with pedal movement). If you're in a truck with the std 6-speed auto, then it may not make much of a difference other than tripling your filter change interval. Going from 27mpg to 28 mpg will pay for the filter alone (I already have a recharge kit from K&N, also found here on Amazon).Don't expect miracles, but it's a quality product that delivers reasonable return on investment. If you drive like a fool, don't expect your MPG to go up. But you will enjoy the slight noise improvement and the throttle response.
