I liked the fact that the vendor quickly delivered the product. I have been using Slide-O-Mix for over 40 years to lubricate my trombone. For me, this lubricant works better than any other lubrication system I have ever used; however, be mindful of the fact that musical instruments and body chemistry are all unique, and this lubricant may not work as well for you as it does for me. Having said that, if you haven't tried the system, it may be worthwhile to give it a try. The only negative to the system is that you have to squirt two solutions onto the slide for it to work properly. The positive of the system is that I am able to play for hours and never have to do squirt water or add anything else to the slide during rehearsals or concerts.

I love this lubrication. The secret is to not use too much of the large bottle, or it will goo up. Also the large bottle lubricant MUST look like snot. If it doesn't, it's too old or got too hot - buy a new bottle. I use the large bottle by the spit valve and the small bottle by the mouthpiece, in-between you must add water. The slide moves like it's made of glass if you do it correctly. The bottles do not smell; they are fragrance free. It's great stuff but you have to know how to use it.

I have tried other brands, but this is the one that works time after time. I've tried Trombotine, Yamaha, and the Slide-O-Mix in one bottle, and none of them do as well. I have a King 2B and a Conn 88H, and this performs well on them both. I could never get Trombotine thin enough, and the Yamaha is a close second that does perform well in the heat.

Wow. This stuff works great.I bought a cheap Blessing trombone off the facebook marketplace and the slide didn't work quite right. I mean, it worked ok, but there was definitely resistance in the slide. The slide itself has a few very tiny dings and dents... I thought maybe that was the culprit. Before taking it into a shop I decided to try a better slide lubricant than the one that came with the thing. Long story short, I bought this, slapped it on, and now the slide moves freely again. Great product.

This stuff really does work great. Technological innovation since cold cream and teflon! I had a slide which was pretty sticky before putting on lubricant. After applying the 2 Slide-O-Mix concoctions, it worked pretty well, but with a few rubbing spots. Cool thing is that after sitting in the case over night, when I pulled the slide out the next day, it was much smoother than when I put it in the case!

When playing perhaps an hour a day, a weekly application of the product (follow the directions) is more than sufficient. However, keep handy a spray bottle of distilled water, and at least once a day, sometimes more often, spray the slide with the distilled water. Combined with the silicone in this product, water spray keeps the slide silky smooth.

The oil is wunderbar!!! Lasts for days and super smooth slide action.

We ordered this slide order for my son's trombone. We were very happy with this product as they sent both of the bottles. I know nothing about a trombone, but my son insisted that you needed both bottles. The first time we purchased these, the company only sent one of the bottles even though the ad had two bottles on it. We were a little "gun shy" to order again but were very please with what we received. Thanks!
