Top tier entertainment
This was one of the earlier otome titles I played and I’ll say the plot is very good and the characters are all very strong characters. None of them were really tropey and all had decent character development. The MC is a bit of a ditz at first but she gets more and more complex. Not tons of romance but don’t believe people who say there is none or barely. There are a lot of romance scenes, esp with Okazaki lol. The LLs are also multifaceted. Beautiful art and gorgeous CGs too. Just delicious.

Great Otome / Visual Novel
This and Code: Realize are the games that got me into the visual novel genre. It has some classic staples of the genre, stoic hero love interest, cold tsundere guy, the woman-crazy one, adorable guy, and the rude one. Nothing ground breaking about the archetypes, but the way the game portrays them all in a big group setting as coworkers of sorts is nice. It's fun to see the way they all play off each other's personalities. The story of the game is gripping, it makes you want to know what's going to happen next and is very good about keeping the player engaged.A very good visual novel and this is an excellent re-release of it.

One of the best games in the Otome genre...
Collar x Malice is an otome mystery thriller game that is one of the best offerings for the genre. It originally came out on the Vita a few years back and comes across very well on the Switch. My playthrough of the game was all in undocked mode. Whereas most otome games are fairly light in their themes, Collar x Malice has a somewhat dark, solid story with an interesting premise and strong characters. The music is good in the spots it is used and the voice acting is excellent. Gameplay-wise, CxM separates itself further from most games in the genre, offering a few Phoenix Wright style investigation bits and a few timed events to go along with the usual make your choice path options. The game has good length at 30-40 hours to get to the true ending and there are a good number of endings to be found. As far as the Switch version, there are no performance issues and there is touch screen support, though I mostly used standard controls. The art assets for the most part look good in higher resolution on the Switch. The negatives are: some of the background art is a bit soft and the game doesn't do a great job of explaining the proper way to do the few timed segments. Overall though, an excellent game for the genre.

Amazing Game
This is honestly the best otome game I have ever played, and I have played a lot lol. The game took me quite a bit of time to complete but once I started playing I couldn’t stop and even played through all of the routes (unusual for me because there’s always a character I don’t care for whose route I usually skip on unless I remember later on when I’m bored). The overall plot is amazing, I love police shows and mysteries so I am biased but the way the story all worked was just wow. Every route uncovers part of the mystery but not until you finish every route do you find the whole truth of the story. Upon completing Yanagi’s route (which is only unlocked after completing all 4 of the other routes) I was just in awe at how everything in all the other routes made a bit more sense. That being said each route stays true to the true route (Yanagi) of the game and there’s no holes. Which is shocking because usually with these games the routes have completely different ends or conclusions that don’t make sense with the other characters endings, basically other games make each route an alternate reality from each other which is fine I don’t mind it but the fact that they didn’t do that with this game and it worked was amazing.Largely because of the overarching storyline I actually played every route and completed their good and main bad endings. Mainly because even the bad endings give more insight into the story and every route gave you different information.I can’t recommend this game enough. This is one of the best otome games ever and I really regret sitting on it for so long and playing other games while this one sat in it’s case. If you like otome games and police/mystery themes this is perfect for you.

I died 3 times before Takeru said he likes me…
Hope I could play with Japanese sub but no option.I found some wrong translations (even character’s name) but still the game was fun and the all 5 guys were attractive. The game system is so kind since I could go back to any turning points. But Ichika drops dead super easily, so don’t hesitate to save constantly!Only one thing I didn’t like this game is … Ichika’s hair style.

Top 10 Otome to play!
Package came on time, no damages and sealed. Love the CollarxMallice plot, and it's super easy and enjoyable to get through. If you like Otome and mystery/thriller/crime documentaries, then I'd easily say more likely than not you would like this game. Art and voice acting is awesome, and the story doesn't drag on like some Otome can tend to do.

Love it.
I bought a hand full of otome games and have played them but this one is the best series. I played both this one and sequel. I actually play sequel first and then had to buy this. Both games are worth the money. Also- thankful for the players who had guides for the walkthroughs because it can get repetitive and frustrating.
