A nice white fish. Makes a good, cheap substitute for cod.
I bought this to put into a fish pie.When I make a fish pie, I use a white fish, smoked haddock, salmon and prawns.Using cod is a bit of a waste, as the flavour is lost amongst all the others, so rather than spend twice the price on that, Basa makes a very good substitute.It's a good chunky fleshed white fish, without any 'fishy' flavour. To most people it's indistinguishable from cod.In a pie it's great. As it is with a parsley sauce.This is a great value bag, containing 6 fillets. You get a mixture of some long flat ones and some shorter fatter ones. All are skinless.2 should be enough for most people for a meal.I hope you found this review helpful.

Price and taste, nice!
First time I've heard and tasted this fish. Basa, I will be buying it again. Not particularly fishy but takes on the flavours added to it. Simple and quick to cook.Good price and very nice!

Mild fish low in fat and calories
I like Basa because its a mild fish and doesn't taste really fishy.Easy to cook in the oven wrapped in a bit of tin foil.

Item was out of stock.
Item out of stock and replaced with 4 pieces of Cod. Not only were there not enough for a family meal my cats were not enamoured with it at all. Plus I'd asked not to substitute.
