HEAVY DUTY shelf!
Once I unboxed the 45" Gladiator shelf, I understood the premium price! It is really well-made and substantial, including the brackets and the way they capture the shelf edge. Super easy to put together, and complements the rest of the Gladiator GarageWorks family of cabinets. The reason I give it 4 out of 5 is because the design of the shelve requires your GearWall or GearTrack installation to be PERFECTLY flat. Well, in the real world, wall studs have some variation, and the section of my GearWall where I wanted to hang the shelf had variation in the studs causing a 5/32-inch out-of-plane in my GearWall panel. The shelf has a welded lip on it to lock onto the GearWall slats, and it's so closely sized to the thickness of the slat edge that it cannot tolerate any variation! Fortunately for me, I was hanging the shelf from the upper-most section of my GearWall so I was able to remove the panel and put some shims behind it to make it perfectly flat when reinstalled, which let me get the shelf hung and finish my organizing project. SOLID!!
I have 5 of these total in my garage and absolutely love the build quality that they have put into them. Easy to install once you have the gladiator tracks up on the wall. I have the tracks installed firmly into the studs in the garage wall, and these shelves hold some serious weight and show no signs of even budging. They have a great depth that allows you to store multiple variations of stuff on them, including the large plastic tubs that we tend to store various holiday decorations in throughout the year. I would without a doubt buy these again.

Expensive but the Quality is in the Product
I have the Gladiator system, and these shelves are work well for this system. The Gladiator PANELS are a bit on the expensive side, but the quality is in the product. The Gladiator shelves hold up to 50 pounds. It takes about 10 minutes to put them together, and this is extremely easy. You have to make sure the PANELS are correctly spaced on your wall or the shelves will not fit. The Shelves do have a bit of play, but make sure to install the PANELS with the right spacing if you want to order the Gladiator shelves.I use my shelves for lighter items primarily, but I do have tools on a bottom Gladiator shelve. I will eventually move the tools to a more secure tool box setup, but I am sure I will find items for the shelves. The Gladiator shelves work great for bulky light items, like thermal coolers etc. I have five of these Gladiator Shelves and they are very useful.

Great shelving solution!
These are solid, made of steel and mount easily in genuine Geartrack. I've been able to declutter and organize my space like never before by putting four of these shelves along the wall. Amazon has the best price, fastest delivery and yes, these are genuine Gladiator. The Amazon pricing make these shelves even more cost-effective than those hanging steel-mesh ceiling storage fixtures. Each shelf is 45"x20", so I found the storage space comparable for my needs. Sure, you can go to the lumber yard and build your own hanging shelves, but this is so much easier. I had the first shelf up and leveled in 20 minutes.

Excellent, sturdy, wide shelf with decent depth.
A heavy shelf but I managed to put six of them up on my own without assistance even though they are somewhat heavy and awkward. These are not some flimsy wire shelf that bends and twists at the sight of a large heavy storage box. I think the person who complained about the weight is missing the point, The shelves are long at 48 " and deep so by necessity they have to be heavy especially with their load rating. Two mounting options help give you a choice depending on you storage requirements, And they do make a reasonable work shelf too, These have no equal in the Gladiator range. As for installation they are not that difficult to install if your walls are flat as the shelf has a flange that runs the width of the shelf at the back that fits on the ridge of the panel. So your GearTrack or GearWall has to be straight or the shelf will be a pig to fit. I only have one spot that was not perfectly level so I had to shim part of the Gearwall to make it perfectly straight. I used GearWall rather than Gear Track to give a little more flexibility over positioning above my cabinets but I believe the Gear Track is a stronger option.I really like these shelves. Last but not least I think they look good against the cabinets in a man-cave sort of way.

Love the Gladiator products
Threw away all my old hanging wall organizers and moved to Gladiator. Works awesome. I gave the shelves 4 stars instead of 5 as when you place the shelves next to each other, there is supposed to be bolt I think to connect them in the front. It does not deter from their usefulness, but be nice to have the ability to connect them for more rigid support. Great stuff though!

Would not stay in the track
After a much anticipated wait, I was disappointed that the shelf would not stay in play with the shelf being placed in the top position. It just kept slipping out the track. I had to change my design aray by hanging in the down position with the supports upward. I have a lot of gladiator accessories and this is the first one that has not stood up to its claim. Really disappointed customer this time.

Good shelf for Gladiator System but requires 16.6" of verticle depth which limits spacing on GearWall panels to 18" minimum.
These shelves work well with the Gladiator system and I found they were easy to install. One of mine arrived with a small bend in one of the underside mid-shelf support ribs but this was easily straightened using a couple of blocks of wood and a c-clamp. The biggest thing for me is that these shelves cannot be installed closer than 18" apart on the GearWall panels due to the vertical depth of the wall attachment diagonal braces. Depending on what you are storing this could result in a significant amount of wasted space. This shelf could be easily redesigned with a diagonal brace with less vertical depth.
