I have used this product for years, with excellent results. I have found that they are indeed "hard to open and can be melty". I solved this problem by keeping the box in the refrigerator, not the freezer. They remain solid long enough to use as directed.

About 20% of the time you will get a package of ones that are literally impossible to open, and if you manage to get them open (I use little nail scissors to cut up the side) they're crumbly or melty and many are impossible to use. The rest of the time they've been great. It's been that way for years (I use them whenever I'm pregnant) so I don't know what causes some of them to be awful but they've had a long time to fix it and they haven't, which is annoying. But if you get a good package, they're better than anything else. Good luck to you.

I used it one time and in less than 48 hours no more bleeding. The packaging was easy for me to open, just be careful when opening the package because the suppository is very soft. No oily mess, no leakage and goes in with little effort. Definitely worth the purchase.

Terrible! First, the suppository is almost impossible to open. I have no fingernails so I have to cut it out. Ends up mushy and broken after that. 2nd is it makes your stool chalky white, scary looking. The product is like sticking oatmeal up there because it is not hard formed but soft . Did not work as well as ANUSOL PLUS.Sorry, no photo .

I tried to open the foil package but was unable to get a grip on the edges to peel back. Ended up cutting the foil off!! Product is fine.

It is very messy and sometimes painful to use applicator with tube. Though it is cheap but is absolutely much less effective. Suppositories if inserted properly deliver perfect amount of medication at the right place. Try it. The product is designed to melt though body heat. So too much handling with hands during opening and inserting will make the suppositories melt in your hand and make it soft and difficult to insert. Open quickly front top and hold with two fingers. Lie down and loosen your buttopening. Push it slowly up. Squeeze your butt a little while the suppositories is half way through. This action will cause the suppositories to come out slightly.... this will lubricate your opening and help it go up easily.Loosen your butt and push it all the way up..inside. Now with your finger still in, squeeze the butt and this time the suppositories will get sucked in...The medine is good and will provide relief in 3 to 4 insertions. All the best

Ordered 21st Jan and extremely thankfully received via Royal Mail 24th Jan, which is amazing considering that there have been Royal Mail strikes recently. Ordered 24, received 24 with a use by date of 2026. On the subject of use by dates, before I received this delivery I was utterly desperate as months of constipation had suddenly exploded into bloody piles. Horrified at this sight, I searched through the medical box and found 3 of these " torpedoes", still completely sealed but almost three decades past their use by date. In desperation one was unwrapped (use nail scissors) and the relief was instantaneous and I have not bled since. Absolutely no problems with the supplier and it is highly likely that I will use them as my supplier for this product. Update -at the pointy end there are two tabs that can be pulled apart to free the "torpedo". Do it slowly as the first time I did this the "torpedo" catapulted onto the floor and I had to wash it. Sharp nail scissors may still be the best answer.Update -I have since moved on to a competitors product as they suit my preferences better.

As it is said very effective, but actually it is a useless, not effective at all. Don't buy this.

Really fast working suppositories.Just dont buy from Home Health (UK) Ltd, they open the boxes and squash them before packing to send so they get away with using a posting bag. All my suppositories were out of there box loose in bag on arrival and I don't like that as these are to be inserted inside my butt so I want them sealed in there box so I know there not tampered with, also I told them and they just said it's what they do before sending out but I think that's terrible, when I pay for something I expect it intact as shown in there pictures.
